Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsExcluding the booking manager (turquoise guayabera) and bar/rest manager (white guayabera), the general bartenders and serving staff were often mediocre, and at times even rude in temper (particularly on Monday night!). This was a total letdown as the place is a 10/10. What’s worse, as guests you are only depending on this restaurant and bar. We have to point out that the managers did make it up to us by excluding some orders, which was a total surprise and which we appreciated. This kind of gesture showed us that the Yemaya management cares about service and are willing to improve, so we decided to still give this location a 9/10. As everything else was great. Tips for the serving staff would be to clean the tables more often, come and check-in if guests want more drinks or are missing (side) orders. The food and drink flavors were so good, that once they arrived, they made up for the loss of service. But for a 5 star resort you expect a decent service.
Amazing location, with paradise views and great cabins that included a good floorplan division of the bathroom and toilet. The food was always very tasty, as we tried 2/3 of the dishes and also, about 2/3 of the cocktail list. The margaritas were one of the best we ever had. In addition, the two yoga instructors (Camila and Tara, were nothing short of perfect!). My friend also booked a deep tissue massage and came out feeling great. Marcos, the driver on Big Corn was also very friendly and a great start and ending of our stay.

United StatesI truly loved everything about my stay and don’t have a single complaint. If I had to suggest one small improvement, it would be to consider a few extra measures to help with bugs and sand mites. They already provide small fans at the tables, which definitely help while dining, and the fresh fruit displays on the tables are absolutely beautiful—but they can attract some bugs. Maybe offering a bit more bug spray or soothing lotion on-site would be a nice touch. I came prepared with repellents, but I went through them quickly—mainly because I tend to get eaten alive! That said, this really isn’t the hotel’s fault, and they do have measures in place. It’s just a small recommendation from someone who bugs seem to love—not a complaint.
I want to give a special shoutout to the incredible staff—they were kind, attentive, and genuinely fun from the moment I arrived. On my third day, I received the heartbreaking news that my grandfather had passed away. I was working at the bar when I found out and ran to my room in tears after asking the staff to watch my laptop. When I returned, they could see I was upset and gently offered support. One staff member even offered a hug and said they were there if I needed to talk. I’ll never forget that kindness. The managers were amazing, helping me book and extend my stay and arranging taxis even when I stayed elsewhere. The location was peaceful, safe, and just a short water taxi from town. While not much is walkable, you won’t need it—the hotel has everything. My room was spacious with a comfy bed, soft pillows, and a mini fridge. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, perfect for remote work. Housekeeping was consistent and thoughtful—they even brought cookies and tea each evening. The snorkeling tour was a highlight (even better than scuba!), and the spa was affordable and took last-minute bookings. Room service was great, and every meal—from smoothies to cocktails—was 4–5 stars. The food and drink quality, along with the overall value, were excellent. This is truly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I felt cared for, remembered, and completely at home. I’m already dreaming of coming back—thank you for making such a difficult moment easier and turning my trip into something unforgettable.

Czech RepublicIt would be nice to arrange some kind of contracted water taxi to the hotel. Because the price of a regular water taxi, 20 USD for both ways for 1 person, seemed expensive to me (it is not much, but it is not reasonable for the distance).
Absolutely magical place, amazing and helpful staff. I felt like I was in paradise. Hotel facilities, outdoor gym, beach. Absolutely amazing. The price is also great, bar and restaurant more expensive but the quality matches.

Canadasimply nothing???? we loved it all/
everything. seriously. we called this place "princess land" because it was exactly that. From the second we were picked up at the airport and brought to the resort, welcomed with a cocktail, had our luggage carried, every question answered promptly and kindly, and every need catered to. We simply didn't want to ever leave, and had wished that we had booked our entire Nicaragua trip here and that we could have spent the entire 9 days here! We will be back. OH and the food - everything has paled in comparison since eating here hahahahaha.

United KingdomThe pool area, there would be guests leaving towels on the beds all day and then dissapearing. There was only about 5 sunloungers around the pool area so for people to take them like this wasnt fair and there should be a policy stopping guests doing this. There wasnt much going on at night, very quiet, the rum boat we was told would be open for pizza but just found the security guard and 2 dogs growling at us. Breakfast and food is very expensive.
High quality customer service Rooms are beautiful and pristine The hotel itself is stunning, surrounded by stunning beaches. Good free use of snorkels and kayaks.

What a wonderful experience with my family. the rooms were kept super clean and neat, it was quite spacious. the bathroom was sooo lovely! loved the showering area. the communal pool was great. restaurant was lovely! loved the fresh smoothies and drinks, absolutely yummy! the beaches were equipped with chairs, hammocks, swings! there were kayaks and paddle boards available, although due to the strong winds we couldn't try this but great to know the hotel provides them! A special comment about concierge and staff - they were all super duper kind and approachable. they were so accommodating and helped as much as they could! they made it a 5 star experience for my family and I. Despite a terrible weather and some bad experiences with Costena Airlines, Yemaya Reefs and its staff have done everything to make sure we had a good honeymoon stay in the Little Corn. Special thanks and kudos to Gordon who has managed our stay and who has gone all the ways to make sure we had a good time. The most professional and friendly concierge! The place is magical, it’s a little hide away with everything you need there. We went swimming and snorkeling just off the shore. We had very tasty meals at the restaurant and good cocktails. All the staff is so friendly and not imposing. I hope to be back there one day and wishing Yemaya Reefs all the success and the staff a very good New Year! Thank you for everything !

AustraliaUnfortunately it rained a lot during our visit which meant that the path into town was completely ankle deep slippery mud/sludge. For what guests are paying, the hotel should part pave the way. We ate breakfast at the hotel once and it was not good at all. I 100% suggest walking into town for breakfast. It’s way cheaper and much tastier. There was a massive discrepancy between the price we paid on booking.com to what the hotels website was advertising. I would suggest looking at both prices before you secure your booking.
The resort is lovely and new. The staff are very friendly. The rooms were beautiful and large. The pillows were fantastic and it was nice to have hot water in the showers! Having a private pool was great as the weather was very windy making the ocean not very inviting. Despite other reviews, we ate dinner at the restaurant once and it was delish! The walk into town is about 2km and on a dry day the path is a hard dirt road which is a very easy achievable walk. At night it is very safe to walk back in the dark however, bring a head torch. The weather was too rough for the hotels private panga back to Big Corn so the hotel took us back on their private yacht which meant a dry boat trip!

CanadaThe hotel is located far away from town. It takes about 35-40 minutes to walk the path back and forth and it was very muddy at the time we stayed. My group is active, so we didn’t mind the walk, but definitely something to consider if you plan to dine in town on Little Corn.
The property is gorgeous. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean and have excellent views of the beach. We stayed at Yemaya during low season and there was only a few other guests we saw.
