Quiet and cozy place in Amsteelven historical part. I chose Amstelveen as the base to go to Amsterdam. With this respect the hotel is not close to direct transportation you need to walk 10 minutes to the Amstelveen bus station and take 357 bus to Amstelveen weg, get out cross the road on the left and take the metro #51 to Amsterdam Central Station and viceversa.

Well the stairs were a bit of a challenge but we knew that up front.

What a unique and fun property to stay at. We loved it! The hotel owners and their family staff were so nice. The breakfast was perfect….all home cooked to order. Beat croissant I ever put in my mouth!

SUCH a great stay! Sweetest hotel with the nicest staff. My only complaint is that we only stayed one night - I wish we had stayed for so much longer! Also the beds are SO COMFORTABLE!

The only things you could mention are that the breakfast is quite expensive (but really good though) and that it is quite loud when other guests climb up the stairs. We loved it and would for sure come back

It is a little walk to public transport, but this is an easy place to walk!

This is a beautifully renovated, unique property, which feels like a home away from home. I think I had the upgraded room but it really was gorgeous, with a very comfortable bed, huge bathroom with double sink, facilities for making tea/coffee, loads of TV channels, including NETFLIX, and a minibar. Yes, the stairs are steep, but if you are able to climb stairs, it is so worth it! I did not have breakfast but my colleagues reported that it was great. I really can’t fault this place - such a breath of fresh air after large, generic, corporate chain hotels.

Each detail, from the art on the walls to the thoughtfully arranged seating areas, tells a story that makes you feel right at home. A truly special aspect of my visit was the children’s book written by the hotel owner, Johan Elfner, "Monsterstation: Kwart over Mist." This enchanting and inspiring story beautifully enhances the magic of the hotel experience. One of the many standout features of our stay was the breakfast. With freshly baked pastries, a variety of local cheeses, delicious lattes, and perfectly executed eggs, Johan truly enhanced each moment with his presence and homemade pastries.
