Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceStaircase is very steep. The shower was small, and with curtains! It could have been bigger if the radiator had been placed elsewhere, and should have glass screens.
Situated in a very pleasant village near Den Bosch. Breakfast was very good.

New ZealandStairs! However, after several decades of visiting the Netherlands, we know this is not unusual especially in an older building.
This is a nice old hotel (and when I say old, their business card says they've been going since 1795). We had a comfortable room and a good breakfast, part buffet and part cooked to order. All the staff were friendly and the man on reception could not have been more helpful. The large parking area is a short walk away, nothing difficult. We hope to go back again.

United KingdomIt would be difficult to find something we didn't like.
This hotel is in a quiet location but is in easy reach of the vibrant city of Hertogenbosch. The bus stops very close to the hotel. The hotel is family run and this shows in their customer service. The room was spacious and very clean with a super large bed. Plenty of parking space. Breakfast was excellent with variety of freshly cooked eggs to your liking. The restaurant and bar was very well staffed with a very varied menu at reasonable prices. We had a great time here and would definitely come again.

United KingdomGreat food - felt like a restaurant with a hotel attached more than the other way round. Restaurant was busy every night. There was a problem with the plumbing in the building which meant that there was a banging noise being transmitted into my room via the bathroom pipes. I thought it was someone working. Went to reception and they explained there was a problem with a loose pipe moving about when they used the dishwasher. They kindly stopped using the dishwaher afterwards which was very kind

GermanyThe room was nice, everything clean with maybe a bit more than usual noises you hear from other rooms around you (at least that was the case in the room I had). They provided ear plugs so it wasn´t a problem for me at all, and since the bed was super comfortable, I slept perfect. The restaurant was outstanding, the staff super nice. The breakfast was standard and yummy. I travelled by train via Den Bosch, taking the bus to the hotel was fast and easy. I had to go to the Firebrand Exam center in Sint Michielsg. , which was as well easy to reach from the Hotel via the bus pretty much directly from the Hotel. No car needed. I can also recommend visiting the mill bakery and taking some bread with you - it´s yummy.

NetherlandsA little noisy at street-side. Toilet was positioned very close to the wall. But: paid the most lousy fair, so from that perspective acceptable.
Most liked was the location and it's charm. Staff was friendly. The room was decent. Pub and restaurant downstairs. Inside unfortunatly with enforced QR code. But as an alternative a very pleasant terrace is available incl terrace heaters. Loved that!

SwitzerlandThere was an issue with the shower that could not be immediately fixed - but I got another room. There was an issue with the otherwise excellent wifi - but the IT was called to fix the problem immediately. The church bells toll every half an hour (day and night), but I could sleep without problems
Very friedly and helpful staff. Quiet hotel. Good breakfast. Excellent restaurant
