„I don't recommend staying on a houseboat during the cold season.”

During our stay, the outside temperature was -5 °C. When using the electric heating, there were frequent power outages, as the houseboat's electrical equipment is not designed for a large power consumption. We had one horror night when the power went out, the toilet didn't work and it was 8 °C in the houseboat until the morning. We contacted the landlord's SOS line that night, where the operator told us that we had to wait until the morning until the maintenance worker arrived, and we ended up having to contact him ourselves in the morning. They probably had the same problem in the houseboat next door, but the crew there wasn't as resistant to frost and they definitely left the houseboat at night. I don't recommend staying on a houseboat during the cold season.
The houseboat is situated in a quiet part of the marina

Internet was very inconsistent. The AC closet had a cover over the vented door which made AC not work right until we moved it. The primary bedroom window unable to open to ventilate due to placement of the bed. Hot water would only last for one shower…and better make it quick. There was a little storage in each bedroom to unload belongings, but then nowhere to store suitcase. Nowhere to put groceries that we brought in.
Loved being on the water. Very calm. Close to places to eat or grab a drink. Not too far to walk to town. Clean.
