Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThere was a heatwave during our stay and the lack of air con made the room like an oven. There was a fan, but you couldn't open the windows very far. The staff kindly gave us ice to take to our room. There was a noisy restaurant next door that was very close and we couldn't close the windows due to the heat. Very steep steps to the 2nd floor and no lift. Fine for us, but wouldn't be good for those with mobility issues.
The nicest bathroom on our trip with a great walk in shower. Big bed. Good location, easy to walk around town from here.

The room is very cosy. Nicely decorated. Not huge but it has a great view. And right in the middle of an area with restaurants and bars. Most hotels are quite expensive in Breda. This one is actually a little bit less so. And the restaurant is top notch.

United KingdomVentilation in the room was poor. More hanging space and more storage space would be good. Room felt overly cluttered. The very steep steps from the foyer would be a struggle for anyone not reasonably fit or for anyone carrying a large suitcase. Our room overlooked the alley next to the hotel and we were kept awake from noise below at night and then were woken at 5 am by people moving trolleys around in the alleyway. The corridor carpet leading to the bedroom was heavily stained with either bleach or paint.
The location is very good and the bed was comfortable. Pressure in the shower was good. Bathroom was clean and very functional.

United KingdomThe town museum was closed, apparently opening the day I left but I didn't have time to investigate. I will be back to see it!
This hotel is in easy walking distance of the town centre, and walking to the station when I left was easy. Arriving, it had been pouring with rain and I took a taxi, also simple. Breda is a delightful town, compact and easy to navigate around. After I booked, they let me know that they had a downstairs booking for a party that would go on till late on my last night. So I added a night to my stay in Amsterdam. This earned them a lot of brownie points!

United KingdomThere wasn't much to dislike, but there are some things to consider. The stairs leading up to the rooms are a bit tricky, and some people might not like how exposed to the street the windows are. Neither are a problem for me, but worth mentioning. The constructive feedback I will offer the location is: consider investing in larger towels, the one that we had were very small.
Great location looking over one end of the high street, so close to so many shops/venues/activities. The people working at the restaurant of the same name checked us in and showed us the separate entrance we could use. The room was small, but very cozy and well lit, with a large bathroom which was fantastic. I really liked it, and the staff were very nice!

United KingdomThe price you pay for a good location is that it's noisy. It was noisy both late at night (people shouting on the streets, loud motorbikes) and early in the morning (lorries beeping). I brought ear plugs but could still hear the noises with my ear plugs on. The shower pressure was also very low.
Great location, service and nice room in general.

United KingdomThere were only four hangers, of which two were broken, so I couldn't hang my clothes up. No other complaints.
Arrived late....reception was closed, but keys were in the lockbox outside as previously advised. Room was comfortable, plenty of TV channels. Excellent shower.
