It was extremely convenient for getting the ferry back to Newcastle. The room was excellent and very quirky. With its circular bed, interesting artwork on the ceiling and a glitter ball with a spotlight added in, make this room memorable. The digital keys are fantastic if a little confusing.

NetherlandsWithout a physical reception, we ( 70+) had to struggle with digital checking in and the digital key was also something new to us ! We were rather disappointed with the breakfast, too little choices and we had to wait for refills, it didn't match the other facilities of the hotel, sadly!
Beautiful spacious room with a view overlooking the dock, we were there to catch the ferry to New Castle the next day, so a good rest before the crossing and a short walk to the terminal. Another plus point is the full scale kitchen on the same floor, though we didn't cook there, we could use the supplies and facilities there .

NetherlandsThe price is too expensive for what you get: no personal check-in, you have to wait and call if you want to see someone. I paid with booking but while checking in online, the hotel took the money once again. It’s sorted out but I had to go to them, figuring this out myself which was annoying and if you don’t pay attend you end up paying the price twice. Not a good experience to have this

United KingdomThe hotel is lovely, comfortable, clean, fresh and quirky. Love the fact the 2 restaurants have a completely different vibe. Staff were very helpful and the availability of a secure bike store was a definite bonus. The restaurant has a good choice and the food was well prepared. It's not in the poshest part of the town but very quiet, close to the interesting old town and the cycle routes north and south. Don't be put off by the location. It's a gem of a place.
