Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe bathroom lighting is quite dark. I wear a bit of eye makeup everyday and I couldn’t see to put it on.
Breakfast was very fresh. Croissants were hot from the oven. The fridge in our room wasn’t working, and we had medication that needed to be kept cold. The staff were very attentive and promptly replaced the fridge with one from another room.

NetherlandsThere were absolutely no disabled facilities. We weren't told at booking that there are no elevators - i travelled with an elderly person who had to climb 3 flights of very tall stairs to reach her room and struggled sensibly - not acceptable for a hotel of that level. Also, we were first asked what we wanted to eat for breakfast and brought a menu to choose from freely, only to be told when about to leave that smoothies, that were not flagged in any way, had to be paid separately. We had dinner at the restaurant, and the service was rather shaky. Not bad all in all, very clean and nice, but not for disabled and elderly - which is a big no no for me.
The rooms are cosy and clean

NetherlandsNo elevator, You have to read tons of mail about checking in so not very comfortable if you are travelling and want that someone helps you out. So you have to do a lot on your own. AND when you translate their page to English..the password of the wifi is lso translated :)..which of course is not correct.
In the middle of the city, excellent breakfast pretty comfy, quiet room

EstoniaIt was difficult to understand the breakfast setup. I’ve marked my preferences on the card before, but this time, for example, when I marked “1” next to cheese, I literally received one slice of cheese. Of course, I could order more, but to avoid confusion, the server could clarify that marking “1” might only result in a single slice of cheese. Additionally, the door key was digital by default, accessed via phone, which may cause confusion for some people (especially if they did not book the room themselves).
Friendly and welcoming staff, a cozy dining area/bar right downstairs, and only a few minutes away from the train station. Very quiet, though the room might be a bit chilly for some tastes.

NetherlandsThe bed was between two walls. I am a very tall person, what meant it wasn't the greatest fit for me. Even though the bed itself was very comfortable.

Fantastic location. Good restaurant downstairs. Great beers. Room 8 was good. Shutters were great to block the early morning light. Not super big room but exactly right. Located 5 minutes walking from train station. And 5 min walking from city center. Parking under the square. Ideal.

SwitzerlandThe room was functional and comfortable but the lighting quite bizarre, it took some effort and creativity to switch off the ceiling lights. I just avoided switching them on, because the room had plenty of other lights (bedside etc.). The hotel is located above a brewery and a huge restaurant with interesting creative design. It is close to the train station, restaurants and shops. The communication with clients seems to be automated and it was in Dutch which wasn't a problem since I could translate it into English through mobile applications. At the same time, all the payments (tourist tax, rooms, breakfast) being made online through links in messages the hotel kept sending, it was, at times overwhelming. Overall it was a good stay. A nice touch was the coffee machine in the room.

SwitzerlandAccess was odd. You have to use a web page link to open the door to get your room. This is not very usefull if you have no internet access, also beware, the instructions are only in Dutch, which is no problem for us but may be for others. On arrival it's not obvious how to enter the rooms and the bar staf were unhelpful. There is no reception, we therefore could not get any extra pillows until the next morning, which was not very useful. The hallway was messy with tools and cushions and outdoor furniture piled up, which gives a bad impression on arrival, but it's no big deal.
Nice location, close to the station, easy access for travel and for local shops and sights. Hotel was very clean and tidy and the room was spacious. Plenty of coffee available in the room and also a fridge. The lady serving breakfast was lovely and very helpful. Overall, very good.
