I don't know where is their kitchen or if there is some other restaurant behind, but the smell was funny and the noise was too loud every morning.

Great location. The room was the basement room. We had everything that was required. Clean and tidy, beds were comfortable, very little noise and staff were nice. No problem or issues. The reviews were not that great but booked anyways, nothing to complain about and would return here to stay again,

Stairs are deathly steep more like a dangerous ladder - this isn’t very well advertised by hotel so if you are any way afraid of heights, elederly or even have a bad knee i would reccomend you avoid this place. Room is also very small toilet/shower room also. But it’s a budget hotel so you get what you pay for. Room was also boiling hot due to summer weather a fan would of been nice but heat is out of hotels control.

Unless you use wax ear-plugs (which I do), it is difficult to sleep through the street noise. Curtains don’t close completely, allowing light to penetrate the room… and your eyelids.

Hotel was located close to Tram station and various restaurants, not to mention museums, etc. Bedding was very comfy, even though beds were small because I originally needed 3 to sleep within one room. The lobby offered free tea/coffee and use of a refrigerator.

Property was great.

We got moved from hotel Sphinx to the sister hotel De Munck. So this review is about Hotel De Munck. Fantastic location. Just near a park, just far enough removed from major tram route, and not on a busy street … so quiet at night. Yet perfectly close to everything.

Excellent location and budget friendly. The employees are kind and let me check in early. This was a former house converted into a hotel. While it has a cozy feel, there is absolutely no sound proof. You will hear everyone in the hallways and rooms Nextdoor. I also never received any cleaning in my room for the three days I was here.

Room was on the third floor with no lift access and stairs are extremely steep, vending machine has no card option meaning we had to head out late at night for drinking water

It wasn't very clean. Some hair on beddings, and in the bathroom. The floor was quite dirty. The safe didn't work. I'm sure it could be sorted if we talk to staff, but we didn't want to go down from our floor - stairs are super steep.

It's a great location - central, but not too busy. Authentic building, nice view. Very friendly and helpful staff! They gave me an extra pillow. Very good blackout curtains! It has everything we need. It also has a kitchen on reception - tea and coffee, microwave, grill etc. It's well heated, we were comfortable. We were given a bigger room than what we paid for, so that was a nice surprise.

The rooms are really small- like really small. If you don't plan to stay in your room because you'll be out exploring then it's fine. The bed was comfortable and clean and so was the shower area. I stayed on the 5th floor which was an incentive to not go back to the hotel room for the whole day. There are no lifts and the steps are small so be careful. No view out the tiny window in the room.

Its so close to the Heineken place and really close to the tram and train (30 second walk). Polite and friendly staff who were happy to help. I booked a double bed and was given a twin room but when I spoke to the lady she was quick to change it. There's a little vending machine too at the reception which stocks drinks and small snacks. Towels were clean and also stocked body wash .

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. We excellent value for our money

The property was a 25 minute walk from dam square but it was a really nice so we never minded walked home in the night. There’s a metro stop directly outside the property that ran every 5 minutes that took to dam square in about 1 minute. The property was clean and the staff were so lovely.

I booked a full size bed, and received two twin beds pushed together. The beds kept separating all night.
