Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe room was unusual with the shower cubicle in the middle of the room and the bed on an appropriately wide shelf by the window. Some couples might find the lack of privacy in the loo off-putting.

NetherlandsThe bathroom isn't closed off, so the toilet is in the same room as the bed, which is rather awkward if you're a couple like we were.
The location is great and the staff were very friendly.

NetherlandsWhen we arrived, we saw that the headboard of the bed wasn't attached to the bed. We temporarily fixed this by pushing the bed against it so it would stay put between the bedframe and the wall. The shower looked a little bit moldy, but this could also be chipped of paint, not sure. And sadly the light above the bed didn't work properly.
The bed was comfy. The staff was nice. It's a good hotel to just stay a few days max.

NetherlandsThe toilet is in the room without a (solid) wall and without a door. This makes the stay very intimate… there was also no toilet paper (less than 1/4 and with no housekeeping that isn’t enough for 2 people, 3 days). When asked for a refill the staff looked very disapproving. No housekeeping, which is not a problem in itself, but notify guests so they are aware. Bed is very soft, but that’s personal preference.
Loved the location!

GermanyA window was broken such that I could not close it, and the room was therefore relatively cold. For what the room had to offer (basic bed, toilet, and shower), the price was very high.
The accommodation is central and easily reachable via train. The check-in is convenient and the staff is friendly. The room is bare-bones but fine for a simple over-night stay.

NetherlandsAs several other reviewers have mentioned, the toilet can be quite of a thing. In case you haven't read them, there is basically no separation between the toilet/shower and the rest of the room, so if you're using the toilet, you're basically in the same space as where the bed is (except for a small glass partition). Even for us, a couple that has been married for 18 years, this was a new barrier of intimacy to cross. So, if you don't know each other really really well, I would carefully consider whether you can stay here. Another thing is that the room can be quite noisy due to the noises from the restaurant, and the people outside. Although this is the payoff for staying in such a convenient and central location, it is not recommended for light sleepers!
The room is clean and modern, and the location excellent, right in the middle of town. Only a few minutes walk to restaurants, supermarkets and the train station. There is a small desk in the room and a Nespresso machine. The bed is inside a wooden structure, around which you can put stuff, which is convenient. Good thing about staying at a restaurant which has a hotel, is that you can order stuff from the restaurant to be sent up to your room. We saw the QR-code in the room to do that, but didn't make use of it. Checkout is pretty straightforward, you can put your key a small locker box or give it to the restaurant staff.

NetherlandsBathroom and toilet are open plan, separated from the main part of the room only by a partition, no door. No problem for a solo traveller, but keep it in mind if you are a couple!

SerbiaWhere to start: As many guests mentioned, toilet IN the room is a ridiculous idea. I had "luck" to be alone in the room, otherwise you can forget about feeling comfortable. Everything was reaaally dustly. Event the bed sheets were dusty. You cannot really open the windows that easy: you have to crawl over the bed to get some fresh air or to open it and have a party until late hours. (Which bothers me less then bad ventilate possibilities). The noises of the heating pipes (or water pipes idk) were constant. Whole night!! Sometime at the night one has to fall asleep from tiredness. Whole hotel is just poorly soundproofed. P.S. Two photos are basically one on each side of the bed. Taped lamp switch on the table (underneath is basically only one free outlet that you can use) and beside the window literally wires are to be seen out of the outlet. Seriously? I happened to be in 3 different hotels in 3 different cities for a day after day (all booked at almost the same time) for the same price and it is incomparable! If you cannot afford a new lamp or fixed outlet, reduce the price to a realist one then.
I am not writing reviews often, but this time I really had to. Location is great, main station nearby. Stuff was really friendly, although it is a restaurant, so there is no real reception and was a lot of guests, they found right away time for me. So check-in and check-out basically easy. Small supplies like lotion and shampoo are plus.
