Reviews of Ami Hotel

Convivial atmosphere in common parts. We chatted to several other guests who were also preparing and eating meals in the communal kitchen. The rooms are comfortable but the shower room in our was a very tight squeeze and pretty basic.

We took the bus in to town from the airport and the walk up the hill on a snowy path is difficult when you're dragging or carrying cases.

It was clean and comfortable

The location is at the top of a steep hill. There are only shared bathroom facilities and no meals only a vending machine

It's perfect for a solo traveler. You have everything you need within your room, its cleaned everyday. the kitchen is also fully equipped, with a nice add of the free tea/coffee/hot chocolate option. Close to the city centre Very value for money. I will definitely recommend it

Just a small caveat that the toilet/shower room are shared among a few rooms. though I did not have any issue with it, I figure if you go on big group and the premise is full, it maybe a bit crowded.

location was really good. also had a laundry downstairs.

Great stay, comfortable room and clean bathroom. Everything you need in the kitchen and bonus: free coffee and tea. Moreover, you have access to a washing machine and a dryer. I highly recommend this place and also their northern light tour

Great location, parking (reserved / paid in advance)

Someone used the kitchen but didn't clean the dishes. We had to clean what we needed. If you stay for a night, don't bring big luggage with you as there's no elevator.

Close to the city center (after some stairs), beautiful room on the last floor with a sink. Quiet at night. Free coffee, tea and hot chocolate on the ground floor.

Very expensive, double the price of last minute rooms. No elevator to go to the 3rd (and last) floor with suitcases. No option to cancel room service during the day, which would be great for privacy.

Not bad in itself but 250€ were abusive for such an hotel: shared bathroom with only 3 toilets for 17 rooms, no breakfast, two separate beds with an hospital-like deco, etc. At such a price we would have expected something way better

we booked a parking spot and paid the same day of arrival. we received confirmation with instructions saying that a parking permit was in our room and should be put put visibilly inside the car, but when we arrived (late in the night) we did neither find any spot for parking, nor the permit in the room. we called the person responsible, but she did not come and was unable to explain what had happen and what to do. at the end we left the car in front of all the others, as we did not have any other options, and luckily did not have problems

Ami hotel was my favourite place I stayed in the whole of Norway - I loved the homely cosy vibe and it had everything we needed. Also the location was beautiful and our room was so comfy and big. Highly recommend

Nice kitchen, free to use

Location is uphill, very challenging for winter time as roads get slippery, a lot of work to get there

Great location, no frills but comfy and clean. Free hot beverages, great after coming in from the cold!
