Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWhat a shower of …. Ironically the shower was the only thing that wasn’t …. The location is on a very busy street with noise well into the night. The room is in a shared apartment type which is not really described as such on the description. It’s wasn’t the easiest process the locate keys. When we got to the apartment the courtyard was not very appealing and the staircase up dark and smelly. The apartment itself was grubby ! Not had a decent clean in god knows when ! Smelly toilet/shower area ! The pots and pans from and unusable. No kettle ! Every surface needed a good clean ! The floor a god mop and the hand rail hand more hand prints than the police service !! The bedding was clean but as cheap as possible poly bedding and awful soft bed and pillow. I dare not look any further than the bedding in case of what the mattress and duvet might be like ! There is no blinds in the room or lounge. So no way to shut out the light on a night ! Yes it’s cheap but cheap shouldn’t mean unclean… We coped but anymore than one night and good luck. You can find better…

SwitzerlandFirst, we did not get the information for check in. We had to call the owner to get the information and wait in front of the building. Second, there was a door which is supposed to be open but wasn't. We called the owner who informed us that he will make sure to open it. It took him 1.5 Hours! we we're lucky that some people left when we we're waiting at the door so we didnt have to wait that long. THIRD: THE CODE TO THE ROOMS AND APPARTEMENT IS THE SAME FOR ALL ROOMS (and very easy to crack)In the middle of the night some stranger barged into our room -.-! FOURTH: The rooms and amenities aren't as advertised, e.g. there is no aircon and the bathrooms look terrible, there is standing water on the floor. There was even a smashed window in the living room and there was garbage everywhere around the house.
Location is good.

AustriaThe whole apartment was extremely dirty. Disgusting smell everywhere, especially in the bathroom. Our room looked like it hasn't had a clean-up for ages, rubbish was found in the cupboard. The linen felt like it hadn't been changed since the last guests, also covered with some stains. The sink in the bathroom looked like it was about to fall down at any moment, we didn't dare to use it. We also had severe safety concerns because the room which we were told was ours and which our keys opened was already someone elses room. After calling the owner he referred us to a different room, which could be opened with the same key! I suppose that every room can be opened with this key. After all, our strong advice is to avoid this apartment, it isn't worth even this quite low price.

NorwayI went to Oslo for the first time, and the apartment owner didn't let us check in at the appointed time. We were told when we were coming, but when we waited outside the building for over an hour and called him, he didn't answer. We waited outside for an hour before deciding to switch to another hotel. The owner finally called to let us know that we had checked in. We assumed this was only our experience, however another person who reserved a place in the same condo encountered the same issue. I'm not really recommending the room, then.
