Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Bedroom was basic with no frills or extras of any description. Lack of ventilation (or aircon) made the room exceptionally warm due to heatwave which made sleeping difficult. No plug for the sink in the ensuite.
Lovely friendly staff, always makes a difference. Large twin room, great breakfast. As a solo traveller I appreciated access via the TV to the You Tube app so at least I had some entertainment during the evening.

Missing aircon. Even with all windows open, it was terrible. But luckly its only a few days a year that hits 30 at this place

The bathroom was a bit old, and there was a shower curtain. The room was damp and smelled "wet", had to open the window.
There was plenty of EV chargers next to the hotel. The lovation was silent. The staff was nice. The TV supported Google TV, and was reasonable sized. Plenty of parking. Comfortable beds. The breakfast was good.

room made a cold impression , lights are insufficient by far. Breakfast was tolerable but the most simple thus far in Norway. Rather far from Rw. station and public transport is rare

Pricey, breakfast could have been a bit better. Rooms need renovation. Functional but price doesn't match the quality.
Location, three different charging stations nearby, large room with sauna! Nearby shops and gas stations were a plus.

No fridge or tea/coffee making in the room.
We picked the hotel for its location on a long drive from Narvik. We enjoyed our 1-night stay - the room was as expected, quiet location, comfortable bed, friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast. Located just off the main highway, in a nice little town with good retail options.

The room was very dark. There are only very small light's in the room. The bathroom floor was freshly painted and the whole room smelt like fresh paint.
The breakfast was very good.

Nice hotel. Dog friendly. Very good buffet breakfast including egfs joghur etc.. Free parking. Supermarket across the street. Stay includes free gym visit at the small local gym which is 5 minutes walk away.

We didn't have much of a view as we were at the back of the hotel, not a problem though. Looked as though the hotel was being updated. The evening meal was tasty and the place had a nice atmosphere. There was a nice terrace out front to enjoy a beer and soak up the rays. The setting was actually quite nice and we were able to take a walk around the town.

There was a lack of cleanliness, a broken shower tap and no hot water. The furniture was outdated and creaky. No air conditioning. We found a dusty fan on the table. Linen smell was not good . Poor breakfast choice. The breakfast area was poorly cleaned after the party, litter and rubbish was thrown about and the floor was sticky.
We chose this hotel because of its good location when travelling. Very good, quiet location

The room was simply dirty. Tiles on bathroom floor have been white once but are grey/ black from dirt that hasn’t been properly cleaned in a year. Hairs on the shower floor. Shower curtains with stains. Dirty an worn out floor in the bed area. Also rest of the hotel looked like it needs an overhaul and some fresh paint.
Not a lot to like here. Old fashioned not well maintained and not clean in an unattractive environment. The young student like staff was friendly. Breakfast was OK. Dinner was basic style.
