Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyParking isn’t available at the hotel - total bummer for families. You have to park in a nearby parking lot (which is very expensive) and walk with all your stuff through the streets. Hotel rooms are small but ok. Views aren’t good - some rooms are looking right into other apartments.
Breakfast was very good. Lots of healthy options. Location is premium. You are very close to the City Center.

AustriaThe room was pretty small but we only stayed there for a night so it was OK.
The location is in the center of the town and you can reach it easily with the public transport (Line 1). The breakfast was amazing, exceeded all expectations and left nothing to be desired.

CroatiaRoom was too small for two people with a lot of luggage. Bed was comfortable but not easy accessible, wall on two side, approximately half meter on foot side. Room window was looking on not so nice and not clean roof, about 4m from another building.
Location of the hotel is very good, close to train and bus station as well to city centre. Breakfast is shining point, rich and diverse.

United KingdomNot much: the room wasn't the biggest but the lack of on-site parking is unfortunate but with a little advance research I found secure covered parking a couple of blocks away.
Good location, and the breakfast was possibly the best I've had at a hotel. The hotel is very clean and my room's shower washroom ws perfect.

FinlandIt was extremely hot and we did not get a fan, although it was promised to us by the receptionist and we were added to a list of rooms to which the fan would be delivered.
Room was nice, breakfast was very good, and the staff was nice to offer gluten free pancakes for one of us who had caeliac disease.

NorwayI do not like dirty bathrooms. Please do attention to bathroom cleaning. During summer season there should be conditioner in the room. Without opening the windows it was very difficult to sleep in hot weather. But due to raining season it was not possible to open the windows and due to hot room could get good sleep.
We stayed 4 nights. Location is very good all sight seeing locations were near the hotel. Cleaning staff only giving service for bad but two days contentiously did not cleaned the bathroom. I also informed counter staff for dirty bathroom. However I recommend visitors that hotel location is suitable for those who can walk and visit good famous sites. Regards........... Asghar

AustraliaSmaller rooms, lack of ventilation in bathroom and room in general.
Excellent location (easy enough walk from the train station, airport bus stop even closer), breakfasts were excellent. Great range of options. Rooms were ok - bit on the small side, bathrooms had no ventilation. In summer there is no aircon, but also no air flow - so pretty hot in the room. Reception gave us a fan but it only helps so much. Highly recommend otherwise which is probably most other times of the year

United KingdomI was visiting during hot weather, which I was repeatedly told was very unusual for Bergen but there weren't enough fans for all of the rooms so it was quite hot and stuffy, and my room looked out over the park which was a beautiful view but meant I couldn't open my windows at night as it was so noisy. The soft furnishings in the room were quite old and stained. The room felt quite expensive for what it was but I think that's just Bergen prices unfortunately.
The room was pretty much as I was expecting, small but comfortable. Very convenient location and the breakfast was delicious and had a lot of choice. Secure luggage storage was helpful too.

LithuaniaUnfortunately the hotel absolutely doesn't meet the 4 stars hotel standart. The room was so small, that it was possible only to come in and go to bed (~5-6 sq. m inc. bed), everything a bit oldfashioned. There were no air conditioning (or even fan) in the room. The were no kettle, no cups, no tea, no even glasses in the bathroom. And the main problem - it was SO NOISY! The window was to the inner yard, where all the building engineering systems were working so loud, that it was impossible to sleep even with the earplugs. I had headache each night, because it was too hot to sleep, and when I tried to open the window - the noise was just terrible. Won't come back here...
The location is very good - near the main tourist attractions, oldtown, Brygge, and etc. Breakfast was really great, but a bit crowdy.
