Good value for money. The appartement was as we expected. The second bedroom is small but works perfectly fine. Very helpful personel. We would like to go back to Trysil-Knut hotel :-)

Hard to get there (doorstep) using public transport. Considering the fact that people visit for skiing and have loads of luggage quite unfortunate but not the hotels’ fault ofcourse. Same goes for the skibus (what skibus?). So car is needed. There is no skilocker room although the hotel provides a seperate lounge as ski storage. Storing your ski’s en de-booting next to the laundry carts and old furniture is not the best way though. Internet was not very stable/helpfull. Shower was walk in type but did not have a curtain or glass divider so complete bathroom floor was soaked during showering. Considering the fact that people ski and have lots of wet stuff to dry: install hooks on the walls, a coatroomrack is not convenient and will not do the job. In general subtile sewage smell from shower and in parts of hallway. Probably external cause but still…

We were pleased with the size and state of the room (4 person 2 bedroom room). Layout is very handy. Furniture and appliances (coffee, fridge etc) in very good shape. Location good, 2 supermarkets next door, parking good, walking distance to center, 3 minute drive to ski center. Breakfast good, diverse with plenty of healthy options. For sure good value for money.

Bad ventilation in the room. The air was heavy an very warm in the night. No ski room where we could dry the ski boots.

Location: The listing mentions a bus to the ski centre, but this involves walking over a bridge and into the end of town (10 mins at-least - which no one does) with buses running only once per hour. Fortunately, we had a car, but be aware that you’ll need to pay for parking at the ski center (which is fine). However, don’t be misled into thinking you can walk there—it’s an uphill trek of over 30 minutes, which is completely impractical, especially with kids. Don’t bothering going into the town over the bridge as you will struggle to find any restaurants open, the Chinese we found was probably the worst I’ve ever had. If you are looking for a desert restaurant, you need to head back to the ski centre via bus, car or a lengthy walk. Room & Cleanliness: In the five days we stayed, our room was never made up once, and we had to request fresh towels. There was no Kettle in the room, and the plug socket was falling off the wall in the bedroom, also a space for a Microwave, which had been removed. While the hotel might argue we should have reported this, basic housekeeping should have caught and addressed it, both during our stay and when preparing the room before arrival, albeit room was clean when we arrived. Ski Facilities: This is far from a proper ski hotel. We had to store our skis and boots in a side storage room, which lacked boot warmers or any real ski-friendly amenities. Parking: If you don’t secure a space at the front, you’ll have to park around the back and then walk back to the entrance down a steep, icy incline—far from ideal. Room Comparison: Our friends stayed at the same time, and their room was noticeably more spacious, even featuring a kettle (which we ended up borrowing). Final Verdict: If you’re planning a ski trip to Trysil, I’d strongly recommend choosing a hotel closer to the ski center. This one simply doesn’t offer the convenience or facilities you’d expect for a ski holiday.

Everything we liked! Very cute hotel, nice room, comfotable beds, pretty good breakfast. Located near centrum and Trysil ski center.

The shower was clogged up (226) and did not drain. The old radiator was making hissing noise the whole night - it was very loud and hot. It was impossible to turn it off. We requested a twin room, but received double bed. We changed it so it was fine. Booking.com says there are streaming services (like netflix) - there was an old tv with a few tv channels only. No streaming services of any kind.

The breakfast buffet was pretty ok. Eggs, sandwiches with spreads and musli - pretty ok. The best was the location - really close to the resort and some restaurants nearby.
