When a cruise ship arrives... it will block entirely the Fjord view you pay for. All you then see is a white steel wall. Restaurant is below average, for dinner.

While it didn't really bother us, when we were there, massive cruise ships docked right in front of the hotel pretty much around the clock, blocking the view of the fjord. It's a short walk away from the hotel to see the fjord.

Eidfjord, the lake and falls are all stunningly beautiful. The bed was excellent, so was breakfast.

WIFI is sometimes working well but not reliable.

Very friendly staff. Dinner was very good. Breakfast selection is medium but offers really everything that is needed. Room is clean. Comfy beds. Nice view to the fjord, at least when the cruise ships have left. Private parking spot for free.

The only downside was the bathroom, which felt a bit outdated and would benefit from some renovation to match the overall quality of the hotel. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall positive experience, and we would happily return – especially for that view!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! The highlight was without a doubt the breathtaking view of the fjord from our window – absolutely unforgettable and worth the trip on its own. The room was comfortable, the staff was friendly, and everything else met or exceeded our expectations.

Nothing, it was better than we expected!

We had a beautiful view from our room, over the fjord. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice and good quality. The location was great for us and we really liked Eidfjord.

We got lucky since we did not have any cruise ships staying in the fjord during our short stay (those things are a menace) so we really enjoyed our time at the hotel, with a cruise ship around your expeience might be different. The rooms were really spacious and although they are a bit dated, they were ok. Hotel has a great bar with a patio overlooking a fjord so you can enjoy the view with a pint. The real highlight was breakfast, apparently really good breakfast at the hotels is a thing in Norway, but this one in particular was maybe top 2 or 1 we had.

The moquette on out room was really a lot wet, the staff tried their best using towels but It was still not done properly. Having this towels around with a 1 year Old kid Is not great tò manager, i hoped the staff can offer some accomodations to manager this problem but nothing come.

I loved the hotel position and the courtesy shown by the staff. Also the restaurante was really good and the breakfast was amazing.

The cruise ship. The hotel charges extra for the room but if a cruise ship is docked, your view is completely blocked off. We were lucky and the ship left after 4 5 hours after we checked in but consider checking a cruise schedule before paying extra for the view.

The place is amazing, the breakfast and the restaurant was pretty good.

The man at the front desk was a grouch and not at all welcoming. I also did not like nor did I expect a giant cruise ship parked just outside my room, blocking any view at all.
