The view, the building, the breakfast, the farm, the later checkout

It was a little far from town for a tired 72 year old. I would have appreciated a cup of tea ou of hours.

I like the location, the common areas, and the restaurant. I love the fact that there was visiting Chef during the summer, which is the period of time I visited. I loved the fact that it’s on the water.

The rooms were a bit outdated, and there was no blow dryers. There’s only two for the entire property and the time I needed one, someone else had it. There should be a blow dryer in every bathroom. Another thing that was really odd is there is no electrical outlet in the bathroom, so when you did blow dry your hair you had to do it in the room with the beds and there was no mirror close enough to see what you were doing. That should be fixed.

Clean and friendly staff

-Location is quite nice, great view to hang out outside by the water (if you are lucky with the weather). It was on the way to our trip to Bergen. -Staff was nice, they brought bread for dinner when we asked. -Bed sheets were clean. -Decent breakfast

-Almost non existent stairs to get to the top of the bunk bed. Those holes don’t help. Please fix some proper stairs, it was a struggle. I see not all rooms have this problem but ours was horrible. It is very easy to fall or hurt yourself. -First timer in a hostel, you need to make your own bed. I did not expect making 4 beds (one on the top) when we arrived at 10 pm. So FYI if you are checking this place. - Squeaky and unstable bunk bed, when my brother climbed up, it felt like the whole thing was leaning forward. And I heard all the turns he made upstairs, very squeaky. -Expensive dinner, kinda small portions. I know that prices are high in Norway but it still felt too much. -Permanent yellow stains on the toilet

Very nice and clean

First the breakfast was amazing! Most of the products are from their farm and organic. Second, the room is clean and quite. We were 3 people but it can fit to 5. Stuff was very helpful. The public areas are enough. The view was excellent!

Nothing

Everything was amazing. I booked a tour for a quick fjords visit from Oslo but decided to get my accommodation separately, so I wasn’t expecting much especially for just one night. If it weren’t the case that I was flying out of Norway the following day I would have extended my stay. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the staff super nice and welcoming, the breakfast buffet had probably everything you can ask for. And the view? Breathtaking. I don’t think you can ever beat that view from your room/the restaurant, it really made me feel a sense of peace I wasn’t even looking for. I hope I get to visit Voss again, I’ll definitely stop by. Takk!!

Nothing, everything exceeded my expectations.

Amazing staff, great breakfast and the view of the lake was absolutely beautiful! I really enjoyed jumping in the lake and relaxing in the sauna!

This hostel has good, clean simple rooms for a family of 4-5, perfect for a short stay. The included breakfast was very good. Property was nice and in a solid location. Seasonal restaurant had good food for dinner.

Even though it is a hostel, we actually stayed in a room with 2 double bunks and a separate twin bed, with our own bathroom. Location is great, value was good. Breakfast was just excellent! Had to pay a bit extra, like 9-10 euros or something like that. They allow you to pack anything you want from breakfast and take with you for an extra charge. Free parking,. Nice staff. Clean, relatively quiet.

Spartan white tile bathroom without a shower stall, sprays water everywhere, then you have to wipe it with a shower cleaner (or whatever this thing is called).

The position of the hostel is beautiful. The social rooms are nice and usefull. The breakfast is super, everybody can find their favourite food.

The bathroom is not comfortable at all. The wather does not go down, the sinkhole is not in the deepest point of the floor. It was a pool after having a shower. There is not mirror and plug, so the hair drying is very difficult.
