MalaysiaI booked the room with dinner and breakfast included. Dinner was a bit disappointing. I thought it will be a buffet style dinner, but it wasn't. We have to order from a menu which is - for me the menu is lack of choices and we can find similar food with cheaper price near Thamel. We ended up ordering 2 continental mains with salads and dessert, food was ok, not bad, but for that kind of money I paid for dinner, better get something else in restaurants near Thamel. They have 6-7 chefs working in the kitchen, should have improve the dinner. The staffs also didn't prepare us as pre-booked customer, like exactly what we can order, is it unlimited ala carte or what. That made us a little confused. After we asked, they told me only 1 item per pax on each course. Another thing is attention to the details. Since it's a 2-person room, we only find one dental kit. Didn't bother to call just to ask for 1 because we were checking out the next day anyway. The capsule coffee machine was dusty, especially the water compartment behind it. Not sure how often they clean the whole things.
Like the location, right in the center of Thamel. The breakfast buffet was good, lots of healthy and delicious choice. The room was exceptional, with everything needed, and a capsule coffee machine. They upgraded us to the urban view room in the higher floor, which gave us a superb view. They even sent us a complimentary snacks and fruits plate soon after we checked in. Upon check out, we got a souvenir as well. 100% for the service.

I really liked the hotel. I could check in early after a long flight. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are great, spacious shower, beds are comfortable. They even leave you two bottles of water every day, complimentary. It's a really nice touch. The breakfast is very good with lots of choices - Asian, Western, pastry, cheeses and cold cuts, vegetables, fruits etc etc'. They also have an omelet station, where you can ask for eggs anyway you want. Location is very good, right in the middle of Thamel, touristic and commercial.

United KingdomThe shower facilities in the bedroom needs redesigning. It is impossible to turn on the water without getting a cold shower. The controls are behind the door and not accessible from the outside. Not a difficult problem to resolve - the glass screen needs handing. Our room had a ceiling mounted shower head but no hand held unit (photos show both).
Room (6th floor) was quiet and well proportioned.

IrelandWe returned from EBC trek and booked into Aloft. From start to finish we were impressed with the hotel. It’s in an ideal location in Thamel area. Rooftop cocktail bar and restaurant is incredible. Extremely comfortable beds. Beautiful smell/scent around entire hotel. The Swimming pool although it was on a different floor to sauna and steam room it was the highlight of our stay.

I was warmly welcomed upon arrival at the Aloft Thamel Kathmandu, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. The atmosphere of the hotel made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The food was also delicious, and I really enjoyed every meal. Concierge staff Rishav, Roshan P., and Nama were especially helpful and friendly, making my stay even more enjoyable. I would definitely come back here again!
