I recently stayed at Hotel Amaryllis in the heart of Thamel, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is perfect — near the lively streets of Thamel with shops, cafés, and nightlife all around, yet the rooms were surprisingly peaceful and quiet. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, specially Mr. Udaya, always ready to guide me. The room was clean, well-maintained. Wi-Fi worked well, and the hot shower was a blessing after a long day of exploring. They have tasty breakfast, with both local and continental options. Rest foot options are also good in taste. Overall, the hotel provided great value for money. It’s ideal for backpackers, solo travelers, and even couples who want to stay in the cultural and tourist hub of Kathmandu. I would definitely recommend it for anyone wanting comfort, convenience, and a local touch in Thamel.

We liked virtually everything. The hotel staff were great and extraordinary helpful in our problems with transport to airport and rebooking our flight tickets. The breakfast was also superb. If there are scale of 10 stars for their hospitality, service, help and kindness, I would givd them full 10 stars.

Tv didn't work, toilet sometimes didn't flush. If these problems didn't exist I would give full marks

Excellent hotel. If you want to have a comfortable and quiet stay in Kathmandu, it is an excellent accommodation. Regarding the location, it's in Thamel but a bit away from all the hustle and bustle, which is appreciated if you want to rest. The rooms are very comfortable, with AC. They provide you soap, shampoo and water every time they clean your room. The sheets and towels are very clean. Excellent cleaning services and care of the hotel.  One of the highlights are the breakfasts. They are colossal! You can enjoy most of the day without hunger thanks to these breakfasts hahaha. The staff very attentive and concerned about your needs. Just good comments about a stay at this hotel!

I didnt dislike anything, everything was good.

The staff were super friendly, very helpful, full of initiative, hotel was exceptionally excellent for the budget except for the noisy aircon but bearable. The hosts are open minded and very attentive to any need. Breakfast was prepared and delivered in record time despite the last minute request 😊 prior to headung to airport. They even organized my taxi to airport and allowed taxi to pickup some last minute gifts along the way to airport which is epic and unreal, dont think this id possible for big 5 star hotels 💪😊. Highly recommended to anyone, looking for accessible location in heart of Thamel, budget friendly, affordable food options, and most important, host friendliness. 10/10.
