Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BangladeshOne of the best decisions we made during our trip to Nepal was staying with Bishnu and his family. The house is beautiful and nicely decorated which will make you feel right at home. The balcony gives you amazing view of the Fewa lake. But what you will take away from your stay is the amazing hospitality. They are super inviting and helped us plan our trip arranging trekking, paragliding, bus tickets, guides and also giving us useful advice. Bishnu jee makes sure his guests are properly taken care of, going out of his way to make their journey memorable. Surely coming back here when I visit Nepal again and will highly recommend the place.

United StatesNothing comes to mind.
The muesli was excellent in the morning, the room and bed and ambiance comfortable. The guest house was on the outskirts of town but a short walk to lakeside for eating and whatever.

New ZealandThis is such a beautiful little home stay. Such a genuine kind hearted family who run the space. So helpful! The location is in Sedi Village - perfect as you are slightly away from the hustle and bustle/loud music of Pokhara Lakeside. Easy to catch a local bus to Lakeside if feeling lazy to walk to the other end. Cheap eateries are nearby, as well as cheaper grocery/fruit stores. So fun to have a pool table available too. Amazing views of the lake over a farm. Very unique stay in comparison to all the other properties I've stayed in Pokhara in the past. Highly recommended.

CanadaTHE place to stay if you go to Pokhara! I never thought I could find a place that clean in Nepal. The view is amazing from the terrace and the hosts are incredibly helpful with everything we wanted to do. They managed all the activities/transfers for us. We had a really nice time knowing Bishnu and his family, I am so grateful for this experience. Thank you so much!

The room was very clean and comfortable and had a nice little balcony from where you have a good view on the lake. It‘s very close to lakeside but also enough far away to enjoy the quietness. So it was no problem to go out at evening and to have a good sleep as well in the night. Bishnu and his family are very lovely. They helped me with everything. From picking me up at the bus stop to giving me a sleeping bag for my first trekking experience. They organised everything for me. It was very nice to meet you and your family!

A very warmhearted family that makes you feel at home! Nice and clean rooms, relaxed shared balcony and a much quieter surrounding than in the middle of busy lakeside. Its only a 10 min walk to get there tough.

Clean, comfortable and friendly this homestay is excellent value for money and a good base to meet other travellers and enjoy all Pokhara has to offer. Bishnu & Laxmi are lovely people and make sure you feel at home. I booked for 1 night and ended up staying over a week as it becomes quite difficult to leave! I stayed in the single room which has a sunny terrace, ensuite bathroom and large comfortable bed and there's still room for your luggage. Its a short 5 minute walk to Lakeside and there is a large terrace area for socialising.

The cleanest place I experienced in Nepal. It was spotless! Lakshmi, Bishnu and family are gracious and charming hosts who saw to my every need. Bishnu speaks and understands English really well, and gave a lot of insight and information about various topics pertaining to Nepal. The wifi password " Guest is God, says it all!! The location is excellent... very close to the shopping area of Lakeside, yet far enough to not be too noisy or busy. Outstanding value for money too...

United StatesA reading light would be nice as the lamp above the bed is a bit too high. Most of the wall plug’s didn’t hold so I was limited to where I could charge my phone and computer. There’s a busy road to one side so it can get noisy in the common area during the day.
Lovely family-run homestay. I stayed in the room overlooking the rice fields and lake which had a a spectacular views and was well ventilated (given no ac). Room and bath were clean, bed was comfy, hot water as needed. Breakfast included was sufficient; other meals optional. Great common area with previously mentioned spectacular views, a pool table, and fridge. Great coffee place nearby. Lakeside an easy walk or bus ride (comes every 5 minutes) away. Had a good time with Bishnu’s family and met some interesting people during my stay.
