Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyOne duvet had some stains and the water in the shower wasn't always warm. In our room, there was a bucket collecting leaking water from the toilet flush box. The shower area was on the same level as the toilet so that the floor around the toilet remained wet for a long time.
The staff was friendly and helpful and we could leave our baggage while we went trekking. We got a solid breakfast. The room was pretty spacious.

IndiaElectricity went out at 02:00 Am. Backup facility was available but not used bt the staff. At 02:00 I went down stairs and requested for the backup. The concerned person first denied and after giving some pressure, he started backup but witin 5 minutes again backup closed. That was not a good experience.

Bangladesh✘At the very first morning of our stay, there wasn't water in the tap. Even after calling they couldn't solve the issue. It took half-an-hour. Later, we got to know there was an issue regarding the water reservoir motor... ✘Room service should be improved & prompt

BelgiumWe really loved this hotel. The room is really comfortable and the mountain view in the morning is amazing. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is good. The hotel is really close to the main street by the lake. There are a lot of shops and nice restaurants there. They propose to keep your stuff before the trek. We recomanded it, we’ll come back !

RussiaGood place for the price. The location is convenient—about a 10-minute walk to the lake and close to a street with souvenir shops. We stayed in a Deluxe Double room. It’s simple but has everything you need: beds, a small rack for clothes, Wi-Fi, and a small TV. The only downside was that the floor wasn’t very clean, so we had to wear slippers indoors. The bathroom was fine, but keep in mind they only provide a small bar of soap, with no other toiletries. The food was fantastic! The chef is friendly, and everything we ate at the hotel was delicious. They also helped us organize a bus ticket to Kathmandu (we paid 1600 rupees), which was super helpful since we decided to book it last minute.

United KingdomKettle in room but only a few tea bags, no coffee, no milk , what is, the point of the kettle then! room description said free toiletries, only miniscule bar of soap, they did give me couple of sachets of shampoo , ordered toast and jam they brought 2 slices of toast tiny bit of jam and one miniscule lump of butter for the 2 pieces, I thought it was a joke, told them to bring some more butter! so all in all very shabby and poorly run . to be honest give this, hotel a miss as a lot nicer ones in same location better run and better facilities for similar price , also curtains so thin and with lights on outside the room it never got dark so not good for sleeping
Location, view from room (very small balcony though)

United KingdomAlthough this is not the hotel's fault, there was lots of dogs barking in the night which did impact our sleep some nights!
Lovely clean comfy rooms, amazing view of the mountains, lovely staff who were so helpful. We even came back for a second time after our trek. The perfect location for visiting Pokhara.

United KingdomGreat location, set back enough from the main street to be peaceful, but close enough to be only a short walk to the restaurants and shops etc. The views of the mountains were stunning, worth a trip to the rooftop for sunset. The staff were friendly and helpful, organised bus tickets and stored my luggage whilst trekking. Would stay here again.

AustraliaThe breakfast takes a long time to get ready. Room make-up needs to be requested daily. Otherwise the room will not be done.
The location is so convenient as it is within walking distance to shop, restaurant, laundry service, massage service and boat service. We eat breakfast everyday at the roof-top terrace while enjoying the amazing Annapurna Mountain View. The owner greets us every day and is helpful with any questions or requests we make. The hotel charges 1000 NPR for hotel pick up from Pohkara Airport. The family room has a separate toilet room and shower room.

AustraliaIf I'm being picky, bathroom facilities are a little tired (but still serviceable) so if a priority of yours is a scalding shower and clean, this may not be ideal.
Hotel Grand Holiday may be a little further afield from the main tourism area, but don't let that dissuade you. A beautiful venue, a very short stroll from lake views and beautiful shops. The hotel itself is charming, with an incredibly friendly proprietor who enjoys a good chat and will recommend anything you could possibly ask for. The room I stayed in was comfortable and fresh, with an interesting view over the Pokhara skyline. Would consider again for my next visit.
