Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RussiaI had amazing time and experience in this home stay. I stayed in small plywood hut with comfortable bed, toilet and fan, just right in the forest and i loved it. Facilities is very simple but it so quiet and relaxed, best for nature lovers. The owner is very kind and helpful, helped me to bring up and down to homestay my scooter, as the road was steep and im not experienced on these roads. The food was delicious. Also on Saturday its a lot of people going to waterfall and bridge, can be a bit loud, but other time this private place is a paradise for solitude. I very appreciated the hospitality of the owner and really recommend this place for get away.

South AfricaNothing to dislike.
Probably one of the biggest surprises during my stay in Nepal. Nagarkot is breathtaking and Jungle Crown enhances this feeling with its relaxed atmosphere and beautiful location. Each unit has its own privacy. The beds are very comfortable and warm water is available throughout the day. In each direction you can take amazing hikes through the forest. The owner surprised us every morning with very tasty breakfasts. Not one morning was the same. I felt like I could unwind and enjoy Nagarkot without a worry in the world. Would recommend this homestay to any nature lover.

United KingdomI had a great stay here. The environment is calm and peaceful. You can easily relax and connect with nature. The forest next to the property is so nice to walk around and explore. The food was amazing here! The bus is available just at the top of the road and will take you to Nagarkot town :) Even though I am solo travelling and it was low season, the owner made sure I had company and communicated a lot with me! Super nice stay, definitely recommend

AustraliaWhat an incredible experience we had at the Jungle Crown Organic Homestay. A pleasant room amongst the trees in a beautiful location, but the real attraction was our wonderful, gracious hosts and their children. The homestay exudes a genuinely warm and hospitable family atmosphere - you will be well looked after during your stay. Delicious, fresh, organic cooking and even some evening music and dancing by the children. We loved our time in Nagarkot xxx

South AfricaBathrooms could’ve been a bit cleaner 🌻
Really great spot run by a beautiful, hearty family. Home away from home feel and perfect spot to get some quiet away from city life. If you want to go to the the view point you must catch a bus or taxi, or a few hour steep walk. Delicious food and seemed to attract down to earth travellers whilst I was there.

United KingdomGreat homestay just a short bus ride from Nagarkot or Bhaktapur. Located in the forest near the suspension bridge (<5 minutes walk). Comfortable and clean room with private bathroom. Enjoyed staying here for the nature, peace and quiet and plenty of areas to chill (balcony, tree house, communal area).

AustraliaThe local bus has no fixed schedule so you need to wave it down when you see one.
Definately will go back next time we are in nepal. The family was really nice and welcoming my daughter played with their daughter sometimes. It is in a perfect location, for example if you ride the local bus for a little bit then you will end up in the city of nagarkot to do the panoramic hiking trail. Just a short walk from the home stay is the suspension bridge and if you walk just a little longer you will find a beautiful waterfall. One last thing, this is only an opinion, but they had a dog that my daughter really loved.

GermanyWe stayed three nights and were surprised about the quietness, the good food, the view, and the friendlyness of the owners. We highly recommend staying and would come back any time. It is better to stay here then in Nagarkot. In the morning you can see sometimes monkeys while enjoying delicious breakfast. We went for good hikes and enjoyed the nature around. The rooms are big with big windows to see the birds and squirells. Kessab is a fantastic cook and very accomodating. Thank you so much for having us!

United KingdomI loved everything about this place, Mr Keshab and his family are wonderful hosts. They go above and beyond to provide the most outstanding service and comfortable stay. The property is situated in the most beautiful, peaceful serenity overlooking the valley. The views are stunning, the rooms are clean, cosy and very comfortable equipped with hot water. The location is great. I am so glad I stayed here rather than in the town of Nagarkot itself, which is also within walking distance. It’s so peaceful and amongst the forest. Hiking trails, waterfalls and suspension bridge all on your doorstep. I ended up staying 7 nights and also ate here everyday. The food is absolutely delicious, the best food I have eaten in the all of Nepal. I highly recommend asking for a traditional breakfast over your regular eggs on toast. Everyday had a different touch and was so so tasty. Mr Keshab took me to watch sunrise and this was just magical. I highly recommend staying here. I can’t thank him and his beautiful family enough. It really feels like a home away from home. I was sad to leave. This has been my favourite stay in the whole of Nepal. I will forever return when I come back to Nepal.
