    I was there for 2 weeks in 2 different rooms. Everything was really good except hot water in the bathroom.

    Friendly staff, cleanliness was really good. Restaurant and pub also was nice. Rooms was really good for prices. Located in a Peaceful atmosphere with most of Important facilities for a tourist, such as, ATM, money exchanges, restaurants, pubs, even public transport.

    We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The manager -laxman was very nice, responsive and hospitable. We will love to stay here again during our next trip to kathmandu

    One night of careless management and insincere behavior was enough to undo the goodwill built over the rest of our stay

    We stayed at this hotel for six nights, and while the beginning of our stay was decent, the final night left us deeply disappointed. An event was held at the property on our last night — something we were never informed about. As a result, the entrance to the restaurant was blocked, so we couldn’t access breakfast. Worse still, the entire walkway to our room was taken over by the event setup, making it feel like we were intruding just by trying to get to our space. It was incredibly inconvenient and showed a clear lack of planning or regard for guest comfort. The manager, Laxman, was overly deferential to everyone, including us, at first. But over time, his behavior became uncomfortable. When I raised a legitimate concern about the disruption, he offered a small discount — which felt more like a tactic to avoid accountability than a gesture of goodwill. Then, as we were checking out, he gave me a sarcastic thumbs up — an unprofessional and passive-aggressive response that summed up how poorly the situation was handled.He seemed fake and was blaming his staff when he was the manager. Meena, the restaurant captain, claimed she didn’t even know there was a guest room in the area — despite having served us multiple times. When the owner asked her about it, she contradicted herself. Her apology came with laughter, which made it feel dismissive rather than genuine. Instead of acknowledging the inconvenience, the staff left us feeling like we were wrong for complaining. After nearly a week of being polite, respectful guests, we left feeling disrespected and undervalued.

    Sometimes we had problems with the hot water but the management was very responsive.

    I had a wonderful stay with my elderly parents at the Lazimpat Boutique Hotel. It was a unique experience, one that was enriched by the everyday conversations with the staff. (That kind of contact does not happen in more upscale hotels.) The staff knew our dietary preferences from Day 1, arranged reasonably priced local drivers for us, and made us feel very much at home. For this, I would like to thank the manager Laxman. He was an incredibly helpful manager/concierge anticipating our every need, including a curveball request for a wheelchair. His customer service instincts are better than I have ever encountered. I was stunned when he got up at 2 am to send us off on a sunrise tour! His wealth of contacts in the hospitality industry such as drivers and local laundry services is what elevates him over others, but it is his desire to make your stay perfect is what makes him unique. As a relatively new property, the premises felt fresh and inviting. Plants placed tastefully near the dining area made dining al fresco very cute. The chef Navaraj made excellent Indian food. I looked forward to dinner every night!
