I loved staying at Lumbini, it’s really a home! Beautiful property, rooms and rooftop. The staff are great, super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, so much fresh fruit! 🥰 A nice, quiet spot in Pātan also.

We could not have received a better welcome to Kathmandu! Aman, family, and staff were warm and super helpful. Fantastic location near Patan Durbar Square—5-minute walk—quiet location, less hectic than Thamel. The hotel breakfast on the rooftop was an excellent way to start the day—highly recommend the masala tea with milk. We had a great experience here and would book again. Thank you, Aman!

The Guest House is an old newari House and not very soundproof. All in all it's not a problem, but we had the experience of some rude guests who were very loud at night. The hotel staff is not to blame; for some people he rule of being quiet after 10 p.m. is difficult to understand. I don't know why.

The breakfast was simple but simplicity is perfection. Lot of black tea and coffee, fresh fruits, eggs, bread. Everything you need to start your perfect day. From the roof top you oversee the Nagbhahal square and it's beautiful chörtens, shrines and you may see the mountains. The team provide you with everything you need and they are indeed very kind. If you need a taxi to go to different places in the kathmandu valley they order a taxi driver for you. The cabbies staying with you until your sightseeing is over and they drive you back to the guest house. So you don't need to negotiate with other taxi drivers. From the guest house you may reach the magnificent hiranya varna mahavihar (Golden Temple of Patan) in a 4 minute walk. A place you should visit. The Durbar Square of Patan is easy to reach too.

The water heating system for the shower was a little unstable, but we were happy to have hot water! While we picked the hotel due to it's location outside of the main part of the city, it was located in a small square that was utilized by the neighborhood and could be a little noisy during certain times.

The staff was great! Super friendly and helpful/accommodating. They stored our luggage for us while we went on a trek and had it waiting in our room upon our return. They always made sure we had breakfast (which was very tasty and on the roof!)

Host and team are very hospitable and make my stay extremely comfortable. Esther is an excellent cook and breakfast is always well executed. Staff and service are nothing to be complained about. Location is central to most things and near my work.

Great place with lots of old charm on a beautiful square and right in the middle of the sites and sounds of Patan. Amazing home cooked breakfasts on the rooftop with a gorgeous view. The tour of hidden Patan was a huge bonus.

The hotel is really good, if they keep this level of quality there ain’t much you can improve.

The staff are simply great. Very willing to help and proactive. Breakfast every morning with them was a great way to start the day. The location is outstanding, and rooms quite to sleep at night.

The shower was not working. They said the house is old so this can happen. Not interested to help me. People were not very friendly. So I moved out after one night.

The area is good. The terrace is nice. Good bed.
