How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewVery friendly and helpful host and family, cozy lodges & close to the National Park entrance Probably the best Dal Bhat we had!
Shower is a bit weird, one showerhead produced cold, the other almost boiling water. If you mix them in the bucket, it won't be a problem!
Thank you for the nice review. have a great day ahead & have fun. thank you.

Verified reviewThe owner is a very experienced safari guide. On the jungle walk and jeep safari he offers I was able to see wild rhinos, elephants and even a tiger. He is also very helpful (gave good recommendations, helped book the bus back to Kathmandu...). Food, especially fried rice with omelette for the jungle walks, is just amazing. Can only recommend.
Thank you for the nice review. it was so cool to watch tiger together. have a safe journey ahead & hope to see you again. thank you.

Verified reviewThe experience in Bardia was great thanks to the staff on Namaste Bardiya Resort. The activities they proposed are perfect: we did jungle walks and Jeep safari and slept in the tree house. Every activity was different and I would totally reccomend them all: the jungle walk is to feel more connected to the nature, with the jeep safari is possible to cover more ground and rush to see the animals when they are spotted somewhere in the park and the tree house is a wonderful experience to sleep in the jungle. We saw a lot of animals including the big ones: a tiger, a herd of elephants and multiple rhinos. This was possible thanks to the knowledge of our guide (also our host) Krishna. The resort is very nice and confortable, Krishna's family super nice and the rest of the staff too. The food is always cooked fresh and delicious. Plus, the place is very close to the entrance of the park and right in front of the river (where we were swimming to chill a bit) so sometimes is possible to spot animals even from the resort (even inside, deers crossed the property and even a monkey was sitting on our room porch). The rooms are simple with everything you need.
I definetly have nothing to complain about
Thank you for the nice review & explain that what you did in bardiya. thank you for choosing us & let's us share the experience that we go with the wildlife. thank you & hope to see you again. have a great travelling ahead. thank you.

Verified reviewBeautiful place and great location 👍🏼You get your own nice bungalow in the garden where deer are coming sometimes. The price was good, so my few days turned into 2 weeks. The restaurant has a view of the river, and the food isn’t too overpriced (except for the coffee and tea). The family was polite and helpful.
However, some guests were offered a 2nd jungle walk for free (if they didn’t spot animals on the first safari) or were invited to join another tour altogether, while others weren’t. I guess it depends on whether the host likes you or not. Also, the place isn’t very social. Some guests don’t even bother to reply to a “good morning.” 🙄 So if you want to be treated the same way as others or are looking for a more social vibe, there are other places with a better vibe.
Thank you for your review. have a nice stay ahead. thank you.

Verified reviewFrom the first minute I felt very welcome. The host Krishna helped me organize a tuk tuk from Ambasa village to him. I got a very nice and cozy bungalow. I really enjoyed the sunsets from my terrace. Krishna's wife and his team cooked delicious food and served me milk tea daily ;) This place offers you a paradise, quiet, surrounded by nature. You can go to Bardiya National Park with Krishna, he is an excellent guide and will do his best to see rhinos, elephants or even a tiger. I highly recommend this place for a longer stay. I was there for two weeks :) ❤️
Thank you so much for the nice & warm review. it means a lot to us have a great day ahead. hope to see you again. Thank you.

Verified reviewThis new hotel is a place you shouldn't miss! the price is unbelievably cheap! and the location, especially if you are a birdwatcher, is the best! It is across the river, with very beautiful area and well-designed cottages. You can stay there forever and chill! The staff are very friendly and the owner, Krishna, who is young but experienced guide provides you anything you need.
The only thing which wasn't easy for me, was the shower with separate cold and hot water taps faucets. But during the day it is really hot and you don't need that much hot water.
Thank you for the nice review Mitra , hope to see you again

He Show us animals we could have never seen without him. He's a guide for 22 years. One last thing: almost every third day the elephant comes to the river! You can watch him from their Terrace easily
