How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe view from the window matches the photo. Very beautiful. The room is simple, but everything is there for living. The breakfasts are delicious at reasonable prices. Attentive and caring staff. Overall, I am happy with the accommodation. The room has everything, no frills. The view from the window and the places for eating are incredibly beautiful.
On the arrival date, the beginning of January, the access road to the hotel was being repaired and because of this there was a misunderstanding. There was no information or warning about this. As I understood it, the hotel provided baggage lifting services to the hotel from the other side. Access to the balcony through the window is not critical, but unusual. Be prepared for the fact that the ascent to the stupa takes place very close to the windows of the hotel (rooms).

Verified reviewPeace Dragon Lodge is on a hill range overlooking Rani Ban and Phewa Lake near the Peace Pagoda. When the sky is clear, you can have an unrestricted view of the Annapurna mountain range and see its reflection in the waters of Phewa Lake. The property is responsive. Their food was delicious. The lodge is on a trekking trail that circles the lake. Mr Dinesh and his family were very hospitable. My wife and I are definitely coming back here.

Verified reviewWe arrived and the staff were wonderful and the view was incredible. Unfortunately as I have had bed bugs before I checked the beds and they were dirty and infested so we switched hotels. very sorry to say as everything else seemed great and Dinesh was lovely. he put me in touch with a great tour guide for Poon Hill and the Jomsom Trip. Not sure how they wash the linen as bedbugs are hard to get rid of but we wish them all the best!
Natalie, I am astounded by your comments. Dinesh told me that you had checked out within an hour or so of your arrival, due to you finding "bugs" in your room, to which you are allergic. Indeed our Lodge is in a rural area, so we are surrounded by wildlife of numerous sorts. but bed bugs??? Never have we had a complaint such as this. As I am sure you are aware, you were not charged for your stay, but as it was officially too late to cancel, I marked you as 'no show'. I was away in Europe at the time of your visit, but am enormously disappointed to read your comments. A highly disappointing scenario for both of us, but I hope you enjoyed your time at the alternative hotel to which you moved. Juliette

Verified reviewThe view from the property is really extraordinary. You can see the whole Pokhara from the property balcony. There's many shops along where you can eat or buy something to drink. The World Peace Pagoda is just a 15 minute walk from there and it's wonderful. The staff is very respectful and nice. I will say, it's quite a drive up there so I'd recommend to get in contact with them to give you the location where you can park and go along the nicer road.

Verified reviewThe lodge is wonderful, and the people even more so. A lovely family who give their all to making your stay a very, very happy one. It is wonderful to be perched up so high... Loved it up there so much that I didn't go down until my last day. Beautiful walks to the Peace Pagoda and to the Shiva Temple. And to have breakfast with the sunshine and views, loved waking up there. The food is delicious... All freshly and beautifully prepared, I enjoyed all of my meals. And the room, clean and fresh and comfortable. Would stay here again in an instant. Loved it. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Verified reviewLocated on the trail to the World Peace Pagoda, the hotel was ideally placed to visit this. Outside of Pokharra you are away from the hustle and bustle of lakeside but a short taxi ride away if you wanted to visit. We chose to use the trails into Pokharra to visit the local sights (40 minute walk to Devi Falls and 30 minutes to the boat station at the lake.) We again chose local Nepali dishes rather than the western options on the menu and these were cooked to order and were excellent in terms of taste and value
It might be a little bit picky but the morning prayer drums from the nearby Buddhist Temple were a little annoying, however you soon got used to the sound and filtered them out.

Verified reviewThis place is immaculate! Perfect 360 view of Pokhara. Juliette, the owner, has been so helpful and even arranged for a taxi pick up from the bus station to her place. Dinesh, Promela, the lovely house takers, are very friendly and informative. They serve delicious food too! The location is just few steps away from World Peace Pagoda. Will definitely stay here again next time!

Verified reviewWonderful location, if you don’t mind being away from the hubbub of Pokhara town. The views are soothing, and if the weather is clear, simply majestic! Steps away from the Peace Pagoda, so you can here the abbot doing his morning drumming meditations. Birds galore. Nice family is staff. Comfortable bed. Hot water. Decent food, with a few other cafes around for variety. Very quiet.
Facilities are a bit run down. Nothing alarming, but not particularly charming. If you don’t want to walk, taxis into town are expensive - 1000 npr, more or less.
