Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanI didn’t know before booking, but the gate closes at 10/10:30. So it’s kinda inconvenient if you’re going out and end up staying out late.
It was peaceful, walking distance from the main town area. The staff were kind; there was a storm that knocked out the power and he came to help give us at least electricity for the fan through the generator and changed the wiring in the switch. The bathroom was clean. Close to many tour operators. Got to see many elephants walking on the street with guides.

There are working elephants walking in front of the property every morning and night you can offer bananas to. The property is on a street with plenty of good restaurants and shops. The owner also helped us set up a tour that was fair in price with the other guides in the area. Got to see a tiger which was really exciting.

RussiaThe best place, in a quiet area with a beautiful view and very close to the Main Street. Clean and specious room with good shower and fan. Prakash and his family are very nice, kind and sweet. I really enjoyed my stay with the. Helped me to organize my full day safari for a good price. I had Surendra and Samer as my morning guides during the walking safari and they are absolutely the best. We even saw a leopard which is extremely rare. I would highly recommend to do the tour with them. I also did the jeep safari in the afternoon, which allowed me to see more of the park and enjoy more of the marine life that this beautiful place has to offer.

United KingdomHotel Rhinoceros, Prakash and family, were so welcoming! As soon as I arrived we discussed and planned my activities and within an hour I was joining the afternoon jeep safari. The following day I did canoeing and a full day walking tour, all arranged by Prakash and with the excellent guides, Jeevan and Anish. It was an amazing day, I was lucky enough to see a tiger but even without that there was so much to see and learn about the flora and fauna of Nepal. I felt so at home, and the breakfast and packed lunch were just what was needed also. I would love to stay again one day!

United KingdomNothing we loved it all!
Amazing place!!! Great location with lovely food places near by and in a slightly quieter end of town (still very close to everything though!). Room was spacious and comfortable and we loved the shared balcony for a drink in the evening. The best thing was the hosts, they organised everything for us including serving us delicious breakfast in the morning and packed lunches when we needed it, and booking our onward travel. They really made our stay very memorable, especially seeing a rhino just a few metres from the homestay! The activities they organised (jeep, boating and walking trips) were great, with lovely guides that came to pick us up in the mornings.

GermanyWe had an unforgettable stay at this hotel near Chitwan National Park! For such an affordable price, we got so much in return. The rooms were very clean, the bed very comfortable, we had a nice view from the balcony, and the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. One of the highlights was the location – surrounded by nature, we could sometimes see animals (rhino and elephant) walking by the hotel, which made the experience even more special. The hotel also helped us arrange tours and activities in the park for a good price, making it easy to explore the area. The peaceful atmosphere was perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly place with great service and a unique experience close to nature, this is the perfect choice! We would definitely come back.

United KingdomOn arrival Prakash picked me up on motorbike, nice gesture as 3km from bus station. Tuk tuk back booked by Prakash 200npr. Room was good size but unfortunately the next day I was ill for 24 hours so stayed in room. Nice terrace area overlooking road. All very clean. Easy walk into town if you need to book anything and rhinos visible in army base along the way. Crocodiles from viewpoint with many shops n cafes. Would suggest new bedding n towels as a lot of holes and old linen.

VietnamThey use solar energy, so hot water is only available in the evening. I don't mind it much, just a heads-up in case you're a morning person.
Perfect is not enough to describe my stay. If I ever come back to Chitwan, it will probably be because of this homestay. - Not only the host but his whole family is welcoming and helpful. We can't thank them enough. (1) The host always went out of his way to assist us even for the smallest things. (2) Local food is a bit salty for our taste, so we asked his mom to cook us dinner. It's easily the best meal we had in our whole trip in Nepal. Simple but hearty. (3) I got a headache due to the chill, so his father gave me his own pills, which made the headache vanish like it never existed. - Room is super clean with nice view from balcony, and just a short walk to the national park entrance and town. We literally saw a rhino walking by the front door one afternoon in the most laid-back manner ever. - Price is super cheap compared to what you get in return. - Breakfast is simple (just toast with egg, butter / jam and banana), but delicious. My partner cannot stop talking their amazing butter. - Communication was prompt and smooth. - I booked the tour here as well. The price is reasonable, and we got 2 wonderful knowledgeable guides.
