She could hardly speak any English, and that led to a few misunderstandings, but overall we managed to figure things out.

The host did her best to make me feel at home, and that's what I value the most. The room was very comfortable and clean.

Tathagata Homestay is a great little property to stay in, it's within walking distance of the grounds commemorating Buddha's Birthplace, and of many little shops. The people there are welcoming and friendly.

There is not so much else to do in lumbini, so we stayed a short time.

Very warm Welcome with tea and snacks of the houselady! Easy to explore the temples of lumbini from Here. The house is clean and room is spaceous.

The lovely lady who stays in the home is nice. She can not talk Englisch and that makes it the feeling of a homestay. She will do everything for you. My own room was big and i had my own bathroom. The owner communication is by app, witch makes it comfortabele if you have a question. It is close to the gate of the Buddha ground where hé is born.

It's a humble place in a humble town. You can't expect the comfort and commodities of a big city hotel in here, but when you come here I guess that's not what you are looking for. You get value for the money you pay. Nice room, cleaned, comfortable bed. Familiar environment.

Nice gouse close to Gate 5, near the main sites and market. Household lady, Uma,very charming and helpful. A bit difficult to speak in English, but it was funny although. AC room was nice, clean for indian standards.

The lady is very kind, and the room was very comfy. Very nice place to stay! The bed was one of the most comfortable ones i have slept in in Nepal. I slept wonderfully. There is a hotel nextdoor with nice food also, so you don't have to go too far for dinner.

It was a great place to stay, very close to the Maya Devi Temple. The owner is a very sweet lady. She runs it with her son. The lady did my laundry. On the day when I left to walk to the busstop she even walked with me for a while, cause it was dark. So nice! I really enjoyed staying there a lot.

Quiet guest house a few minutes walk from restaurants, the park and the bus stop. Welcoming host who gave us cold water from the fridge and got the AC working in our room. Good price and relaxed vibes.

The sister here looked after me really well, always making sure I had enough cold water (they refill and stock bottles in the fridge) and accompanying me to the bus stop the morning I left. She doesn't speak English (nor do I speak Nepali) but her friend can help with communication if required. The homestay is only 5-10 minutes' walk from the bus stop and the main street. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable and it was quiet, being in a more spacious area with sparse buildings. Not all rooms have air conditioning, so if you need it, check when booking or upgrade your room.

I personally was struggling with insects at night - ants or mosquitoes. My boyfriend was fine though and didn’t get any bites

Peaceful location - only crickets at night, close to lumbini gates, clean, very kind owner lady though she can’t speak much English. You get towels, soap and filter water which isn’t a case everywhere in Nepal. Also WiFi is stable, didn’t have any problems with video calls. Good value!

Staff watched loud videos in the evening in the common room that could be heard from the rooms.

Nice staff, even with no English speaking. Good wifi. Mosquito nets. Quiet. Close to entrance of Lumbini and main bus stop. Offers in-house laundry service. Some opportunities for social encounters thanks to the common room.

Good location, 2 minutes away from the restaurants, the bus station and the entrance of the park, yet in a calm and quiet area. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The wifi was good and there was hot water at all times when I was there. The lady who runs the place doesn't speak English but she does her best to help anyway, and the owner is available on WhatsApp if you have any questions that require better communication. Overall a great value for money
