My stay at Timber House in Thamel, Kathmandu was absolutely delightful. The property is in a prime spot where everything you need is just a short walk away, yet it still feels peaceful and relaxing. Breakfast is served on the rooftop with a beautiful view, and I highly recommend trying the masala tea suggested by Sanju from the breakfast lounge,it’s truly a must-have! What really stood out was the warmth of the staff, always friendly, kind, and ready to help with anything. The rooms are clean, , spacious, cozy, and neatly maintained, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The overall service and hospitality made me feel right at home.

We had a wonderful stay at the Timber House. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were maintained immaculately. The food was delicious and the rooftop bar spectacular. No requests were too much trouble for the dedicated team. I’d especially liked to thank Ram Prasad on the front desk, whose knowledge and kindness made us feel so welcome. A big shout out also to Rabita, Sanju, Susmita and the rest of the team. Their kindness and hospitality made us feel like we were wrapped in a warm Nepali blanket and made our holiday in Nepal extra special.

The hotel was fantastic, particularly the staff! Ram and the team really took care of us and made sure we had a wonderful first time in Nepal. The rooftop bar and restaurant had a beautiful view of the city, which was great to have breakfast there each morning and also dinner. Location wise it's easy to access all of the main sights in Kathmandu, and the front desk helped call taxis when required. The area is very quiet, even though it's in the city centre. Would happily stay again and recommend the hotel.

The place was well located, impeccably maintained and warm. The rooftop bar and the restaurants were really nice. The breakfast buffet was generous and had plenty of options for all dietary types. The staff was cordial and gracious. Sanju at the restaurant was very sweet and warm. Would definitely stay here again.

My recent stay at Timber House in Kathmandu was absolutely wonderful, exceeding all my expectations. I genuinely enjoyed everything about this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. What stood out: exceptional Staff (especially Sanju, Ram, Rabita!). The biggest highlight was undoubtedly the staff, particularly Sanju. Her service was truly exceptional. She was incredibly welcoming, helpful, and went above and beyond throughout my entire stay. The location is very convenient - close enough to the vibrant Thamel area to easily explore, yet situated on a quieter street for a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars!

Excellent value for money. Very comfortable hotel in a great location. The staff were exceptionally nice, and I just loved to have a glass of wine in the rooftop bar every night before going out for dinner. Would definitely come back.

The breakfast was a bit underwhelming. Not bad, but could have been better.

Whenever I am in Kathmandu, I always stay at the Timber House. I've stayed here on 4 separate occasions already. The staff are like family already; they are all awesome. From the security guards, Ram, Parbati, Rabita of reservations and front desk, the housekeeping, and the restaurant waiters and servers. The location is fantastic and ideal, being central and very close to Thamel but away from its chaos.

I hope they can develop and innovate their food and drink offerings. They have the best restaurant and bar facility, a rooftop overlooking the city. Lovely sunrises and captivating sunsets.

The staff members were very welcoming and friendly. They gave us a free upgrade too! The location is great, right in the heart of Thamel. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

The breakfast menu has room to improve but everything else was topnotch.

Reception staff always very helpful. Good breakfast and very clean facilities and rooms. With multi stay I got a nice upgrade, to a bad with jacuzz - great after many days on the mountains ;)
