This is a genuinely exceptional homestay experience. Minutes walk from the Lalitpur/Patan Durbar Square in a beautiful traditional house. Dinesh was a really friendly and interesting host who made us feel very at home. Would absolutely come back and recommend! Thank you for accommodating us with vegan breakfasts and taking care of our laundry.

One of the best stays in our trip in Nepal! We highly recommend to stay here, the house is so lovely and cosy. It is a very traditional Patan home, and the family is so friendly, they will help you with anything you will need. Very nice breakfast and dinner!

Our host worked hard to connect with us, and to make our stay a good one. He had to balance caring for each of the people staying there. And, of course, he has his own family he must not ignore. The breakfasts he makes for us are varied, healthy, simple, but tasty. The location was perfect. We lived in a real neighborhood, which meant the dogs barked, there were sometimes odd neighbor noises, construction here and there, but everything eventually quieted down at night. I didn't fit into the house very well. I am tall and getting older, and I think it's an environment that works for the young and slightly more compact person. But, I still loved it just the same. I'd certainly stay there again if in Patan.

Getting to the bathroom at night was a challenge ... and I was even on the floor where the bathroom was! I liked almost everything. I think future guests should ask themselves what level of comfort they want, and to see if this guest house is the right fit. I learned a lot from our host, much more than if I had stayed in a comfy hotel. Contact with locals for me is hard, so I appreciated every conversation we had.

The house is a cozy and welcoming newari traditional house. Everything was great and Dinesh was an amazing host. He gave us a lot of informatio, we had nice talks on the rooftop and he was always ready to help. Breakfast was also great.

    House had great character.

Low ceiling and doors. Steep stairs between the many floors . More of a problem for old tall stiff people.

It was one of the best home stay with a great host and the family, they were so polite and provided a very good and generous breakfast, fast WiFi and very spacious room and very clean and comfortable bed.

Steep and narrow stairs and the low ceiling

    1. My room The room features soft, cushiony carpeting and a comfortable bed with soft pillows and a warm cotton blanket. There's a cupboard, a clothes-hanging area, an armchair, and a good-sized mirror for getting ready. An indoor plant on the desk adds a pleasant visual touch. Essentials like a water bottle, mosquito repellent, tissue paper, and a dustbin are provided. The room is spacious, well-ventilated with four windows (as I recall), and the lighting, especially the aesthetically pleasing lamp, is comforting and beautiful. 2. Washroom The bathroom is shared but clean, with a hand wash, a well-sized basin, and a well-lit mirror. Basic toiletries and a hand towel are provided. The toilet functions well without clogging, and the bidet works efficiently. While I didn’t take a shower, the tap runs smoothly for washing feet, and warm water is available in one of the bathrooms downstairs. They also give a tour of the facilities, so everything is well-explained. 3. Kitchen This place is owned by a family meaning a host family takes care of you while also them living there with You. That means, you have food with them on the same table, they wash the dishes that you eat in after you finish. They serve you with warm water if you're feeling cold. How nice is that? :) There are a lot of plants and photo frames on the wall on the table, it is very warm and comfortable. 4. Location This place is in patan. Heart of kathmandu, which i felt because my work was near from this place around. Right in the middle, very close to gwarko and gwarko is right next to koteshwor. ( That is like a hub, a middle ground tbh) but still, it is very quiet inside, just the right place if you would ask me. 5. Family They are very sweet, they will take care of you as if you never left home, it's refreshing too see new smiles after a tiring day. They are very friendly and open minded.

I'm 5'4". 20 yrs old, mideum sized with no other issues as such. Also, a nepalese citizen. These are the problems that don't concern me AT ALL. ( These might be helpful for someone who is particularly from the west or a foreigner) 1. My room If you're above 5'9", height might be a concern. The house features a traditional Newari aesthetic with a black, white, and red color palette. While the red carpets covering the floors may feel overwhelming to some, they align with the theme. The mirror is large but doesn't accommodate full-length reflections. The duvet matches typical Nepalese homes, complementing the homestay's style. However, Western guests accustomed to bouncy beds might find the firmer setup a slight adjustment. 2. Washroom If you are US 6XL + you won't fit properly. even though it's a shared washroom, it's very clean. Trust me guys when i tell you this, the quality of your stay also depends on YOU. if you're not willing to be clean or hygienic or respectful of the people around you, it won't work out for you. I used the "shared bathroom" over 10 to 15 times, no issues!! 3. The place overall The stairs, while traditional and fitting the aesthetic, might be challenging for guests over 60( in terms of age) or those with knee issues, especially when moving between the kitchen and rooms. As a homestay, there are no additional staff beyond reception, so guests may need to manage tasks like moving luggage on their own. ( This place is the exact description of what the name says, you will have an authentic experience, my stay was 9.0 stars, you can rely on me heavily ;) )
