Exceptional location, immaculately clean, room service everyday (wasn't expecting that), really friendly and helpful staff and the bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up! To top it all, the view from my cottage was a picture postcard of the snowcapped mountain range.

No bread knife to slice the locally baked bread.

Originally booked the 10 cottages but moved into the hotel/apartment for the extra cooking facilities of a hot plate. Both cabins and apartments have recently been refurbished and are very comfortable with new carpets and new bathrooms. All have heated towel rails and the hotel apartments have heated floors. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommend going to the glacier region in the winter and staying with the lovely people at The Terrace/10 cottages. Bonus is the walk to the Gallery Gorge is just up the road from the hotel.

-I found the bed comfortable, but my partner felt like it was making him slide off the bed. -The bowls are tiny & not suitable to use for a breakfast bowl.

Great location. Amazing views. -The light from the street light shines right into the room. In saying that the curtains a very good block out curtains. - good size coffee mugs. Most places we stay they are too small, but these were a good size.

Next time I will book a room with kitchen facility. This time when I booked, all motel rooms were full. So next tinme I will book the same place earlier.

All Good. Staff Members, owner and all people are great. Young Man Huse cleaned out room and nice and kind. Amazing place, amazing experience. Very well organised system. Owner is a lovely person and and his team is excellent.

Parking was secured at the main vicinity, the room was neat and clean, way comfortable than I expected. Staff was very helpful. The television has numerous available channels that I can watch during the stay.

I didn’t get a cabin with a parking spot outside it and got soaked in the rain. Not major, just an annoyance. No air conditioning or spilt cycle, very humid inside.

Loved the cabin surrounded by ferns. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Easy walking distance to the start of walks, shops, activities like the heliport and restaurants.

Situated in the heart of Franz Josef, this placed served as a good location to visit the glaciers. The staff were most courteous and helpful. The unit itself was very comfortable and clean.

Lovely compact unit with all you need for a retreat from the roadtrip or those arduous activities around Franz Josef Town. Staff were exceptional. Easy walking distance to the whole town. Restaurants and cafes just metres away.
