I can't think of anything negative. The hosts expressed concerns about no off-street parking but this was not an issue for us, as walking on the wee path to our door thru the small garden gates held its own charm.

Absolutely loved the spacious accommodation, the location, the warm welcome and farewell from Jared and Stacy, the spacious permaculture garden, the blankets for extra warmth, attention to detail and quality of the linen, towels, interior finish, coffee and tea supplies, the discrete replacement of used cups with clean cups, the expansive library of interesting books, the personalised welcome sign at the front door, Woodsy the dog, the window seats in the bedroom, the extremely comfortable bed, the peaceful living room, and the list goes on. I would stay again in a heart beat.

Wholesome in every way! We loved our stay because of how warm and cosy the home felt, very comfortable and the hosts were so kind and welcoming. Would highly recommend and happily stay here again, they have an awesome library full of inspiring books.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Stacy was so accommodating and helpful. There were so many lovely wee treats left throughout the room and everything was thought of. The bed was super comfy and there is loads of room to relax. Woodsy's excited meet and greet was a highlight for us - we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful place to stay with lovely features. Very private, comfortable rooms with a separate lounge and a peaceful garden. It was absolutely delightful to sit outside with our morning coffee and complementary granola and fresh fruit. Stacey was a wonderful host, with friendly notes hidden throughout the house and everything you could possibly need. Very much looking forward to visiting again. Thanks for the delicious feijoa's too!!

This is a gem of a place and we just loved staying here. You have your own private bedroom, bathroom, and lounge and it was spotlessly clean. There were lots of little extras too like breakfast, fruit, chocolate and the most delicious filtered water I have ever tasted! It was also excellent value for money. We didn't mind, but no off-road parking.

Really wonderful place to stay. Small but well equipped food prep space. We walked in to the town - might be a bit of a distance for some people. Very friendly hosts. Would stay again.

We loved everything about our one night at 1920s Stay starting with the warm welcome from Stacey. Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and thoughtful extra touches were very much appreciated. Thank you Stacey.

They were very nice supplying organic milk and a selection of granola and muesli, and while there is crockery, cutlery, a fridge and a small oven, there is not really a proper kitchen, ie there is no sink (though there is in the bathroom obviously). The property is down a long path which could be a pain if you had lots of luggage but it's really not a problem - and it's flat all the way. But for the money these are trivial concerns.

Handy to Whanganui, you could walk into town in about 10 mins probably. We loved the window seats in the bedroom - a lovely place to read in the sun. And the living room was spacious and comfortable, and full of books.

Having to get up at 4.30 in the morning to meet our work commitments - we would have much preferred to enjoy the confort of our room.

Excellent communication from the hosts. Very clear and accurate answers to my questions regarding access. We are always cautious about where we park our work vehicle as it contains hundered of thousands of dollars of electronic equipment. The hosts advice their street was quiet was reassuring, and importantly, accurate. The entire host family is very friendly and welcoming - including the dog.
