While the motel is an older style, our one bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts were great, very friendly and helpful. The motel is in a great location being only a short walk to the centre of Paihia, the waterfront and all the restaurants and amenities.

WIFI didn't work on all our devices, but some worked fine. All parking is parallel (but close to the room). The office is managed remotely, so you can't just walk into it - but they answer calls promptly, generally.

Having 2 separate bedrooms is rare, and nice to have, and with fans (no AC). There was a fifth, single bed in the living space, along with a small sofa, table and 4 chairs. The kitchenette was pretty nice, well-furnished, too. We didn't use it too much, but it had a generous supply of dishes, food prep ware, utensils, etc. Even salt/pepper & oil! Fridge good. Bathroom was decent sized, with large bottles of amenities available. Service was kind and helpful. Older building, but all was working.

Had an overnight stay after a long wet motorbike ride. Unit had everything we needed for a good nights sleep, able to cook our meal. Close to town and the local supermarket. Everything was clean and tidy. Thee was a bbq to use, but it was too wet for us.

Instructions were good after we read them - couldn’t find the light switch until after we read them !

The location was great we could easily walk to the ferry terminal to go to Russell and shops, cafes etc. Beds were very comfortable and room was basic but clean. We spent most of our time in Paihia sightseeing so we really just needed a comfortable place to sleep after long days. Jim the owner gave us our key early so we could head off for the day on the morning we arrived so we would be able to just come back to our room later that night.

The step up and down to shower. I was worried I would slip/fall as I stepped out. Would have loved a hand rail to hold.

Great location. Easy walk to wharf, shops and restaurants. Thank you for the early check in. Family run. Yes it’s older but comfortable. Good area to prepare own food.

The location was excellent, very central. We had the small studio, which is very compact (as stated on the website) but there was good use of the space, and it had everything we needed. The bed was very comfy. It was a treat to have a small cafetiere with ground coffee provided too.
