The stone floor was VERY cold in the winter but double-sox made it mamageable 😀

Cozy and quiet. I had work to do so bought in the little table from the deck to use as a desk.

The bed was slightly firm and pillows very flat, but after staying in Doc Huts it really didn't matter.

This was a great location for us to stay before our tramp of the Abel Tasman. We stayed the nite before our Tramp and at the end of the Tramp.

Unfortunately we arrived late at night and there were no outside lights…it was difficult to locate. I spoke to the host earlier and she was lovely but when we were lost at 9:30pm at night she didn’t answer the call… thank goodness for our taxi drivers persistence to find the place!

It was .5 mile from town and an easy walk. It was simple, clean quiet and perfect. There were snacks so that was nice too.

Quirky arrangements for washing dishes (a bucket!) but all worked fine for our short stay.

Ideal for our Abel Tasman stay, small but well equipped and comfortable accommodation. Lovely view and outside seating area.

The only irksome thing for us was that sound seems to carry between the units (we could hear some snoring, haha!), and from upstairs where there were a lot of footfalls. However, we turned on our fan for white noise at night (and because it was hot!), and were fine. In terms of improvements, there really isn't anywhere to prepare breakfast or snacks, or eat indoors if it's too hot or rainy on the deck to use the table and chairs there. So, a little table inside would be great. A couple of luggage stands and a few more hooks in the room would also be appreciated.

This is a lovely, quiet spot just up the road from the rather busy Kaiteriteri beach area. It's very clean and modern -- the bathroom in particular is fabulous. Loved the dual shower. There is a fridge, toaster and kettle, and breakfast supplies are provided (bread, cereal, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee, tea). Each unit has a little deck area to sit outside where you might be greeted by a weka wandering by. Guests have access to a shared washer and dryer, which we used and were grateful for! At night, you can hear the birds and see all sorts of stars from the deck. It's very peaceful. We were able to walk to several beaches in the area. At the main Kaiteriteri beach, there's a cafe/shop and restaurants, as well as boat hires for Abel Tasman park. Note: this property is located on a winding, narrow road, and the driveway is tight if you have a large vehicle.

Little space for luggage (abd we only gaf 2 rucksacks). Expected to wash own crockery in a B&B is unusual. High shelf with heavy glass jars of cereal wasn't great. No hangers for clothes. Lack of engagement with hosts was odd. Walking through other cabins decks wasn't good.

Beautiful views from the cabin. Great bathroom. Comfortable bed. Nice deck area. Food provided for breakfast was good (in fridge on arrival).

A bit disappointing would be my summary of this property. We paid £538 for 4 nights and I wasn't sure it was good value. The unit is located a 10 minute walk (up and down hills) to Little Kaiteriteri beach. About ten-minute walk to the main village centre. The unit was clean, modern with a good bathroom and shower. The 5-foot double bed was comfy, the patio faced the afternoon sun and there was a fridge, kettle, toaster, tea, coffee, cereal, a loaf of bread and complimentary milk and sachets of jams, peanut butter, but no flat screen TV. The units shared a washing machine and tumble drier which were free to use. The very steep driveway down to the property was narrow and a bit unnerving. You could only access it coming up from Kaiteriteri because of the sharp angle of the driveway. Parking was adequate, but tight. There are four units in a row. We thought they were cramped. Our unit had a good-sized bathroom but the room itself was small. Two shelves supported the toaster and kettle etc - and the only table at the correct height to work on (or eat off) was outside. We brought it inside in order to eat and edit pictures on my laptop. Sometimes the unit was serviced...but even when it was this did not mean the bed was made, the bin was emptied or the floor swept, but the cereals were replenished, and the towels were changed for us (once). The wi-fi was terrible. Slow, intermittent and sometimes not available at all. There was no air conditioning – just a fan. And nowhere (except the floor) to leave your suitcases. Outside a new set of stepping stones were being laid. I am not a fan of building works taking place whilst people are resident – although the builder was cheerful enough. Sadly, we never met the owner/manager. I felt it was misleading to say this was bed and breakfast. The unit had no microwave or any cooking facilities at all. By breakfast, the owner meant that bread, cereals and milk were left in the unit.

a little heat would be great just as its on ground floor mini heater

great place, nice decor walking distance to Kaiteri beach but away from all the noise lovely view. i liked the decor, stone bathroom sink, grey floors nice stars able to see from outiside on little terrace breakfast is included, of cereal, yogurt, bread, jam.coffee easy directions and key left in door, happy there is none of those electronic codes the host even messaged to say room was available earlier

No TV and room heater. Driveway was a bit scary to get into and out of onto the road.

Bathroom was modern with strong water pressure. Towels were thick and absorbent. Bed was comfy. Parking was adequate.
