Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The air pump slats are at an angle that directs air onto the bed (or it feels like that). Perhaps adjust them. This is a small criticism; the stay was comfortable and convenient. I would happily stay there again.

Just missing an extra blanket and hair dryer and air con. But the small heater worked fine and management grabbed me a hair dryer and another duvet which I was grateful for. Netflix would be great addition.
Comfy bed. They are renovating. Glad to get real milk for my tea too. Lovely light room. Staff was helpful and kind. Plenty of parking.

No laundry facilities available and the hair dryer in our room did not work. No one was available onsite all the time, but we could ring them if we needed to.

I arrived and it felt very eerie. There was only one car in the whole carpark and lots of the units had their curtains pulled shut despite it being daylight and about 4pm. I had to ring a bell as the reception wasnt open. A guy came and gave me keys to my room. My room had carpet with stains, the bed had a cover on it with stains. It smelt of cigarette smoke and I felt very uncomfortable. My friends were staying down the road at another motel. They came to pick me up for dinner and said it wasnt safe so they moved me out and took me to their motel, so I didnt stay. I rang the next morning to talk to them but they dismissed my concerns and feedback. I would like my money back. The advertising is misleading and false.

It's a bit run down, carpet is stained and smelly, shower was okay, tv reception was awful, my son had a bad night sleep on a single bed, tap was loose in handbasin on ground floor, shower curtain was not the right size , no air condition, the extractor fan in shower room doesn't work, cockroaches found in the bedroom, kitchen utensils were poor, the money we pay for this place is not worth it at all. Will never book in here ever again. The place requires a major overhaul and the owners are Indian. The staff and service was great but the place was absolutely poor.
It's walking distance to Botany Downs shopping center where we found Sierra the best coffee cafe, Pak n Save and The Hub where the fresh fish n chips the best, various takeaways also great , it's a very convenient location where everything you want to go to is right there .

Hold of falling off the wall needed a good vacuum sheets were not very clean stained and smell really bad ceiling fan and bathroom was falling off and could not be used

Where the carpet meets the entrance tiles, the strip attaching the carpet edging has tacks that protrude slightly. Very painful when you walk on them in bare feet. The sound proofing is non-existent as the noisy people a couple of rooms away proved at 1230am. Disturbed sleep due to constant scratching was annoying. To find my legs with lots of itchy red marks was not nice. They look ugly in the photos. To find evidence of bedbugs was quite disgusting. Two days later and I'm still scratching.
Location was good for us. A bit tricky to find at first. .

They supplied no coffee, tea only sugar. Rang number supplied to get some no one answered. Bathroom pretty ruff and fan didn’t work.
