Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNot pristine clean - but it is a farm!
Wonderful hosts who were very warm and welcoming. This is a working farmstead and as such visitors should understand that you will be invited to partake in feeding the young animals- for me, this was a joy. We were offered a vast array for breakfast where almost everything was homemade.

CanadaI was a tiny bit confused about the gate at the end of the driveway and whether I was permitted to open it myself when we arrived.
I liked the opportunity to watch the goat and sheep milking and to hand feed the ducklings. I loved the breakfast and the chance to interact with our hosts. I enjoyed seeing the various stages of spinning wool.

United KingdomRural oasis of calm and tranquility. Lyndal & Steve were great hosts and made us very welcome. Lots of lovely home made treats for breakfast. A real home from home. Even accompanied Steve to evening feeding time for the hens, ducks, hats and sheep.

New ZealandDefinitely needed more ducklings. (OK, I'm joking).
Breakfast was awesome, homemade muesli, spreads, toast, black currant cake! Both were fabulous hosts, we saw how goats and sheep are milked. We got some good tips about nearby places to go and see. The skies were clear, and we could gaze at the stars.

New ZealandStay 2, Nov9th2023 Their advised evening meal available on request was not available when we asked (well in advance) with the host saying they were too busy coming up to Christmas.to provide evening meals. If we had known that we couldn't get a meal before our card was charged, we would have stayed closer to somewhere we could get food. Still a lovely place to stay, just dine elsewhere to avoid disappointment.
Stay 1, Nov5th2023 Friendly host. Lovely accommodation. Very quiet. Excellent evening meal on request (extra charge for this but well worth it).

SwedenGreat breakfast, based on the farms own produce. Very good. I was shown around to see how they tended to the animals, and I was also involved in some small part, like feeding ducks and sheep. Very interesting to learn about farming. The hosts were very nice and welcoming. Best stay on my trip so far.

New ZealandThe East bedroom window had no blinds. Afforded lovely views of the stars and early morning light steaming in, but I would have appreciated the option of blinds
More of a farm stay than the usual B&B. Steve and Lyndall were very friendly and welcoming hosts. Lovely relaxed setting and for a townie it was delightful to be hosted on a sustainable farm, and be invited to watch the goat and sheep milking and be told about the farming. Home made soaps were drying, and a cheese making class took place while I was there. Delicious duck egg scrambled egg, home made breads/preserves and sheep milk for breakfast. I wish I had more time there to just unwind.

The Farm Stay was unique. Loved interacting with the baby goats, sheep and the ducks. Lyndal is in her element and it shows. We witnessed milking of the goats and sheep. The room was clean and the bed was great. The breakfast was the hardiest we ever had, duck eggs and oatmeal pancakes, yum...
