The room was quite cold, there were a couple heaters but they weren’t quite strong enough. Wasn’t much of a problem as the electric blankets kept me very warm in bed, but it was a tad uncomfortable when trying to work at the desk.

Great hosts, very welcoming. Cooked me a very nice full breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Easily one of the best B&Bs I’ve done so far.

It was a cash only payment? We ended up parking in the street because we were unsure about parking in the driveway.

Nothing springs to mind. Just to comment that I didnt know about the town's water issue (needed to boil before use, at the time of my visit) and I had literally refilled my water bottles, purely by chance I made a comment to Rosie, and was told. Could have been a tad awkward later! (the water situation has now been fixed)

Very friendly and welcoming hosts, including Charlie the dog. it was raining heavily when I arrived and Al met me at my car with a brolly (I had my waterproof on). Good sized, comfy and cosy room. Double glazed (really miss that at my home!) comfy bed. clean room and bathroom. Nice power shower. Little lounge for guests to relax if you dont want to use the comfy chair in your room. Great cooked breakfast to start the day. Tea and coffee are help yourself in the kitchen, though I just tend to have in the morning. Jug of water in bedroom.

An absolute delight to stay at this BnB. I can’t say muchl more than all other positive reviews I have seen that rate this stay so highly. Al and Rosie offered to meet us at the Train station but other friends decided to surprise us. A spa and cooked breakfast were bonuses and endorse our total appreciation of this stay.

What’s not to like?

An amazing and relaxing stay with Al and Rosie, who take exceptional care of both their lovely property and their guests. Al greeted me, waved me into their drive, and helped me get settled. Rosie showed me their fresh vegetable garden, and I was treated to a snack of fresh baked bread and vegetables. Every detail is attended to here, and it’s more like staying with friends than anything else. Plenty of privacy too! A real gem!

It was all good

The owners Al and Rosie are golden people. So friendly and wonderful hosts. The bed was the most comfortable id slept in while travelling for work on the coast. I felt completely at home and will definitely be back.

The bed was very comfortable . The spa was wonderfully relaxing. Al and Rosie were fantastic hosts, very welcoming and attentive. They put on an incredible afternoon tea and stunning breakfast. It was a great combination of highly professional and warm and friendly. We would love to come again.

Nothing. It was all amazing.

The hosts were so lovely. The breakfast was a treat and I enjoyed the spa. Al and Rosie let me use the microwave and they had some baked treats for me on arrival with fresh water and a welcome note. They offered for me to park my car and bike in their driveway and charge my ebike and were very gracious hosts.

What didn't I like? Absolutely nothing.

Breakfast was great! Not just your basic Continental breakfast, which was advertised, but Rosie also made me a scrambled egg on toast. Having spent five hours mostly sitting on the TranzAlpine train I decided to walk to Al and Rosie's BnB which is a few miles, but a guest doesn't have to. They will pick you up from the train if you give them a ring. I also enjoyed playing with their cute little dog, Charlie.
