A teepee or pod nearby talked all night and we could not sleep . A sign up to be considerate of guests after ten and not talk all night would be helpful . Rubbish out side the teepee and on the path . Bottle tops and string and paper bits Around taps cleaning would be good . Also soap dispenser did not work and was empty by basin

The landscaping was nice to explore, and the view was amazing. The sun setting on the outer islands was neat to watch and the mist down below in the morning was beautiful. Great place to view the stars.

Not so much a dislike but a tip for others, take oil and salt and pepper as these are not provided. And if you are staying in the teepees remember to take a torch as the walk to the toilet at night can be a bit dark.

Great views and location, the teepee was a fun concept and suited our group of 3 friends well, we enjoyed having our own outdoor covered seating space and the kitchen is well kitted out with all the cooking gear you need.

Room was not set up as a twin as requested, wifi didn’t work and it was unclear on booking that it was a shared bathroom. Good views but from room, blocked by trees.

Room well set up and kitchen facilities useful to have access to.

It was really hard to get a hold of anyone who was in charge. When we arrived the place was completely empty. We were the only guests and the host was not available. We rang the number but were told on the answerphone not to leave a message....hmmm, not that helpful. To be fair, it is a very easy self check in and the reason we needed to talk to an actual person was because we wanted to change from the booked glamping tent to an eco pod since the toilets were quite a bit away from the tent. The description "private bathroom" is misleading and not true since there are about 5 toilet/bathroom containers on the top of the property which are NOT next to the accommodation and not private at all. There are 7 pods and tents but only 5 bathrooms. They are very nice, comfortable and beautifully decorated but private they are not. There were also too many messages for my liking that I received after the booking reminding me that there is the option to book surfing lessons.....if I wanted surfing lessons, I would have booked them.

Beautiful location with a stunning view. Nice grounds with a little tropical walkway to a pond, decorated with stone buddhas and fire pits. 2 kitchen areas. Peaceful, tranquil. The eco pod was comfortable and nicely decorated, everything looked really new. Same stunning view from the bed. The kitchen is really well stocked with every thing you need, e.g. cutlery, pots etc. and very well maintained. Beautiful outodoor sitting area. Its about a 10 minute drive to Te Arai Beach.

Dirty and rusty BBQ. Hadn’t been cleaned from previous use. Solar Lights in the bbq area did not work. Another fan besides the one attached to the wall would’ve helped with the hot summer’s night as well.

Really cool concept, amazing vegetation, well equipped shared kitchen facilities, clean toilets.

In the tipi tent there were a lot of ants, also in the kitchen.

The view is stunning from the tents and pods. The kitchen is also well equipped.

Room was quite small and we had ants in the room. Also it is quite far from the beach, shops and cafes (nothing in walking distance).

We liked the view and the fact that dogs are allowed.

Needed more space in the fridge, was there for 4 days with a child, and only allocated one small arm on the fridge door. Also busy time of year, the bathrooms could have been cleaned more / shower dooms needed a good clean

First morning we were there, we went to kitchen to make a coffee to bring back to room, the coffee tin was empty which was disappointing, then no key to our room to lock up when we went out however service for the key was very prompt! They got onto that immediately which was appreciated. Other than that, stay was really good.

Room was filled with tiny ants everywhere. We didn't have any food in the room, everything was stored in the kitchen. Ants even in the sheets that bit me on my feet and these ants were everywhere on the floor (have videos and pictures). No salt/pepper in the kitchen. Definitely didn't feel like the stay was worth the money paid, no beech on property as mentioned either. The beach bar and pond were pretty inexistent.

The view from the room and showers were the only thing we enjoyed.

The lighting was poor coming up and down from the teepees at night when it was dark

Everything was great, from the accomodation to shower/toilet facilities to the kitchen, my son even used the gym. We will definatly go back when we next visit New Zealand

no privacy in the pods, cleaning staff were repeatedly going past the door in the morning half an hour before the check out time, it seemed clear they were waiting for us to leave. the bathrooms could have been cleaner - they were fine for a camping ground but the nightly rate is not a camping ground price, we thought this was expensive for what it was. no deck at front of pods to sit out of the weather. Lack of privacy was our biggest issue and staff talking loudly right beside the pod in the morning
