We initially planned to stay in the studio and were so glad we decided to pay extra for the cottage. Was great to have more space. We booked this property for the spa but ended up using the pool instead, which was excellent. Loved having a fully equipped kitchen. Hosts were super lovely too - we didn't see much of them (in a good way). The location was nice and quiet.

Bed mattress was a bit too squishy / soft but everything else was lovely.

The property was spotless and had great amenities. The hot tub had a stunning view over the coast line so was a lovely way to relax in the evening. The hosts were lovely and bonus points for their super friendly dog!

The spa pool was out of commission for the 2 nights we were there, big disappointment as that is one of the main reasons we booked the accommodation.

Location, room & hosts were all great, they even produced a small gift for my partners birthday. We would certainly stay here again.

Awesome apartment / guesthouse. Has everything you need, we had a car but still an easy enough walk to centre of town if you want to have a few drinks (approx 1.5km easy walk). Will stay here again, owners were great people with a perfect place to stay.

Walked everything. No complaints.

We didn't have breakfast, but had all of the kitchen utilities needed to make breakfast and tea & coffee at any time we wanted. The wardrobes were nice and big. We had clothes we needed to press before going to a wedding. The iron and ironing board was very useful. The deck was good to air towels on. The whole hired facility was very clean and tidy. The kitchen was set up to allow hygienic use.

There was nothing we didn't like. Only thing we would have liked is more comfortable lounge furniture to chill on. But thats just us lol. And maybe a heatpump. Other than that it was perfect😊

The views were amazing and beautiful. The cottage is clean, neat and well equipped.

The bed was small and the mattress was awful. We both kept falling into the middle of it. Most uncomfortable. Would have liked access to a washing machine.

Great location a short drive to the beach. Very clean and bright. Lovely decor. Great to have the pool to use and the private deck and BBQ. Very private and quiet. Owners did not bother us but were friendly and greeted us on arrival and chatted when we approached them. Great quality towels and sheets. Bonus to have Sky TV access. Everything was well thought out

Very minor but the bedroom got quite hot overnight and our first night there we had trouble sleeping due to the heat. Even using the provided fan didn't give us much relief. Might be nice to install a ceiling fan or small heat pump for a/c. It rained overnight for our second night which cooled things down a lot, much more comfortable.

The Guesthouse is immaculate and so cosy! It is beautifully furnished and the amenities are so well thought out, even down to platters for nibbles, plastic glasses for using by the pool and a little clothes air dryer rack for your wet togs. Everything was so clean it practically sparkled. The pool was lovely and even though the weather wasn't the best, we still made use of it and the views from the pool deck were gorgeous. Russel and Barbara are so lovely and we enjoyed meeting their dog Steiny, such a character! Four minutes from Whangamata town centre by car and some great cafes and restaurants. We highly recommend Rassasy for dinner by the way ;)

The cottage was a little smaller than we anticipated, it had fantastic views and was comfortable but Unfortunately it wasn’t the cleanest.
