Beautiful very large accommodation with lovely grounds in a quite country area. The kitchen was stunning with modern equipment, everything you would need, just as stated. The bed was very comfortable, nice lighting throughout and lovely decor. A good bathroom and shower plus a second toilet in its own room. Parking was right outside in another large area. Lovely owner, very helpful.

Fantastic location and great hosts. Lois and Brendon went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. They went above and beyond when we were out one day and it rained.They had our washing on the bed when we got home, especially appreciated as we flew out the next day. We will definitely return.

We absolutely loved this place - spacious, comfortable, beautifully set out and decorated including a cosy log burner fired up and ready for arrival. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and the accommodation was ideally situated away from the main town centre but easy to find and not far off the main route, within easy reach of restaurants, supermarkets and attractions - perfectly peaceful and relaxing. Would and should have stayed longer - a real gem :)

We pretty much liked everything though we do like a brighter light in the bathroom as we get older!

We loved the location in the countryside which was very quiet. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Although we were both away quite a bit in the daytime during our 3 day stay, there was plenty of space when we did spend time just hanging around there, and it was very private. There was lots to explore in the area with great walking and bike tracks nearby and a lovely farmers market not too far away every Friday morning.

Perfect location to spend your first night after a long flight into Christchurch. The Stables is completely fitted with all your needs down to fresh eggs for breakfast.

We travelled in vintage car so unfortunately arrive in the dark and left very early to attend a rally start Would have like to have been able to look around. Everything was great. Especially the fireplace. Would be a good place to spend a few days while exploring the district. Communications were great too

This was such an unexpected pleasure. On the side of the barn, this studio apartment was superb. Beautifully appointed with extra high ceilings and two toilets. The Aga type oven which was set on low for a cosy feel.

Can’t really think of anything, no internet but not really a problem.

Very unique accommodation within the stables. Extremely relaxing. Horse looking in our window! Living space and bedroom first class with everything you would need.

That we had to leave

Place was peaceful and so very cute. The owner met us at the door and was very friendly. Fresh farm eggs and bread were offered for breakfast. I will be back.
