Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.

New ZealandThe location of Carlton Mill is brilliant - so close to Strawberry Fare Restaurant makes it super convenient and the meals are delicious and their staff are super friendly. I love crossing the road to walk in Hagley Park, such a beautiful park, and the closeness to the city centre. Onsite free parking is a real bonus too. Our room was also perfect - clean, comfy bed and all the amenities you need. Real value for money.

New ZealandBath cracked and the shower leaked water all over the corner of the bathroom floor. It took me ages to mop it up. I used two big towels in the unit. There was so much water in the corner it went behind the toilet, and all around the toilet brush holder etc. The room felt a bit old and tired, yet still comfortable!

The room was very convenient for us arriving off an international flight and allowing us to settle in. The room was spacious, well laid out and well supplied with teas, coffees and kitchen facilities. Bathroom was easy to access with good sized shower and toiletries. Staff were helpful and welcoming.

New ZealandThe first night was very busy, from 9pm till midnight, there was a group of loud men, banging door, laughing, talking loud, in and outside for over 3 hrs. There was no point complaining as it was different people at a golf tournament. I emailed the reception. The next morning, she gave us a quiet room away from the main building, so quiet, upgraded, and we were thankful as... The beds are too hard though, main stay on my bed left me barely able to get out of bed, and my back ceased up. The 2nd room was better, but I still got a mild sore back
This is our third stay, the location is great and quiet if you're in the units away from the main stay The shower was fabulous, clean, the kitchen fabulous, great fridge and we were upgraded. The wee bedside lights were awesome, and our last 2 nights were great. The receptionist on Saturday the 1st was the most genuine, lovely, helpful lady and sorted our room. She's hands down an asset. The strawberry fair is to die for
