Access to property was a little difficult for us as we are elderly and there are no handrails on the steps, but appreciate that more agile people would have no problem.

Outside seating was comfortable and practical. Deck and view was really good, and beautifully sunny most of day. Set in attractive garden. Lots of bird, water and beach activity to watch. Direct access to deck from living room, which was spacious. Drive to Thames fairly quick although a little twisty.

There wasn't anything I didn't like but more about a couple of things that would be handy. If I bought my elderly parents here some sort of handrail would be handy on the side steps to the house And maybe a hose or tap out the back and something for filleting fish

The view and location were excellent.place was clean and tidy beds were comfortable had everything we needed.owners live next door but were not intrusive they have awesome neighbour's on the other side too... Would definitely recommend and I'm sure this won't be our last visit here Sue n jeff

Second visit to the property and the experience felt like coming home. Such a welcoming property, conveniently located for my brother’s in Tapu and just a short stroll from the Royal Oak Hotel.

Everything was a bit dated but still comfortable. Dishes were all gathered together in an odd spot in a cupboard off to the side of the kitchen rather than in the kitchen cupboards. It was not an issue, just odd. Took a while to locate them. Would only say that the bed was not all that comfortable. The mattress could probably be updated soon. (We had the queen bed)

We enjoyed our time here, and we especially enjoyed the beautiful view and watching the sunsets on the deck in the evenings. HUGE LIBRARY - lots of books and magazines to choose from and games to play.

Outside umbrella was rotten and hard to reach and steps were very steep a couple of pointers are you need to supply a hand broom and shovel hard to clean kitchen floor

Tongue in cheek, the fact it is not available for us over Xmas eve to Boxing Day!😀 Proximity to the only road in Tapu does mean there is some road noise.

Beautiful period property with an exceptional view of the Firth of Thames. The house had all the facilities you could wish for, including air con. An easy walk to the local pub, which serves excellent food.

Having light and heater combined in the bathroom was a tad hot on my 6ft4in husband’s head.

Location just across road from the beach was great. However need to be aware that it is quite a busy road. I really liked finding a blanket in the bedroom cupboard as we find duvet to hot! Having a comfortable sofa and aircon in the lounge was a bonus. Excellent parking space

Nothing really to mention about the bach itself, however it should be noted that the location has passing traffic that is quite noisy. Despite this we did not find the traffic noise too disturbing at night.

Comfortable and well appointed bach, perfect for our visit to Thames. The bach was ideal for our family. Situated along the coast road, it has a beautiful view of the Firth of Thames and we enjoyed beautiful sunsets.

The oven is a bit old, which was surprising because everything else is modern. One of those small bench top ovens that are so popular in NZ would be a great addition.

This is a large, sunny, very clean house with gorgeous views of the beach, within a 5 minute walk of a grocery store. The beds were super comfortable and the lounge is really large, with plenty of room for a big family - the house has 2 double beds and 3 singles. It has excellent heating too, and a wide deck overlooking the ocean. Located 15-20 mins drive north of Thames. We will definitely stay here again.

Location of the bach was pretty cool with the water right across the road. The bach was so comfortable.

Great for adults but children need to be monitored.

Proximity to beach & views, beautiful sunsets. Very tastefully decorated inside and very well equipped. Exceptionally clean with amazing fragrances wafting around. Owners live very close so were able to provide assistance when needed and were very helpful. I especially enjoyed what looks like one of those stressless chairs that Danske Mobler advertise all the time - I want one !!

There is no separate switch for light and bathroom warm light. In summer days (when we visited), it is unpleasantly hot when using the bathroom.
