There wasn't anything you would find fault with.

Such an amazing quite place to stay overlooking the vineyard. We were made so welcome, our accomodation was 5 star plus, roomy bathroom, excellent shower and a great selection of toiletries. We had decided to have the dinner platter and the wine tasting tray, instead of going out, what a great decision that turned out to be. My, such a splendid array of nibbles, crackers, breads cheeses, pickles, salmon, meat and pate, all preserves home made,.and the homemad all simply delicious. Excellent wine tasting tray, We cannot wait to visit Le Gra again.

We recently stayed at La Gra Vineyard & Winery as a family – myself, my wife Stacey, and our 10-year-old son Archer – and it was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the beauty and serenity of the place. Nestled among the vines, La Gra is more than just a vineyard – it’s a peaceful, elegant escape where every detail has been thought through. The accommodation was stunning – beautifully styled, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We instantly felt at home. Waking up to panoramic vineyard views and the sounds of nature was something special – a real step away from the hustle. The wine – wow. Every glass told a story of craftsmanship and care. We enjoyed a fantastic tasting hosted by the warm and knowledgeable Brian and Nicky, who made it a relaxed, welcoming experience. No snobbery, just brilliant wine and good conversation. Even with a child in tow, it worked perfectly. Archer had space to explore and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, while Stacey and I were able to truly unwind – a rare and precious thing. But what truly sets La Gra apart is the hospitality. Brian and Nicky were outstanding – genuine, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. They made us feel like more than just guests – we felt like part of the place.

The wifi connection was almost non existent but for our 1 night stay it was not an issue.

It was an amazing stay in what can only be described as a magical place! Super comfortable room and bathroom, great facilities and supplies, bonus: the best dog ever and lovely sheep! I’d recommend doing the wine tasting!

A nicely appointed apartment situated in the Le Gra vineyard. Hosts were welcoming and invited us to try their wine experience and flight of 9 wines. The food was exceptional along with the wines. The. scenery around the vineyard is stunning.

The description online is a little misleading. It sounds as though the room comes with a bottle of wine, not that you can buy wine and have it in the room.

Peaceful nicely decorated room, very clean,lovely views of vineyard, very comfy bed and seating, balcony with views of hills. Exceptional sharing platter featuring many homemade items, cheese, meat and fish included with a flight of 7 wines to taste. We were wowed.

Contjnental breakfast supplied daily. Use of the swimming & spa pools (with prior approval). Having a platter and wine tasting experience on the deck in the sunshine. And most of all: Nicky and Brian were fantastic hosts.

The room doesn’t have a TV, which was not a major problem for us as we travel with tech to use Digital services over wifi, but maybe an issue for those who don’t and where not aware of this..

Beautiful surroundings, the vineyard is a lovely peaceful setting, wine and food was delicious and the accomodation very comfortable and quiet. The use of the pool area was very welcome in the heat. 😀

Absolutely fantastic stay, exactly what I needed! The guys were so patient and accommodating when my ferry got cancelled and then with a late check-in the next day! Greeted with a warm welcome and some fantastic pasta!! I wish I could have stayed longer but alas! Delicious wine too! The room itself has everything you could need, great shower, lovely nibbles and coffee as well as delicious breakfast!

Well I can’t think of anything other than wish we could have stayed longer.

Perfection at its greatest!! Attention to detail in every aspect to make a stay memorable. A very friendly owner of property giving an amazing Irish welcome (appreciated particularly by us) Breakfast included with yummy jam and marmalade!! A tour of his property prior to leaving and wine available to purchase. On holiday for a month, spending usually only one night per stay and this one will never be forgotten.

Loved everything, very comfortable stay in a perfect location. The hosts are so welcoming and clearly take a real pride in the winery and accomodation. Really recommend ordering the platter, it’s superb as is the wine tasting option. This is an absolute find in quiet part of rural Nz, I can’t recommend highly enough.
