Slightly noisy when others stayed up late on our second night. Downstairs had lots of lights/ large TVs which seemed to be on all day/night even when people not using them. I wonder for sustainability reasons if this could be amended.

Check in process was simple. Very kind staff. We borrowed 2 bikes from the hostel and cycled to the start of the Glacier walkways and back. Room was clean and modern. Toilet facilities were shared, but was clean and had good showers. I really was impressed with the kitchen/lounge space. Really nice to cook and clean in. Had a coffee machine which we really enjoyed. Comfy couches downstairs. Walking distance around Franz Josef, we saw a kea fly pass when we arrived!

Hot tub wasn't working when we were there which was a shame and would be great to have maybe basic things like salt, pepper and oil in the kitchen.

One of the nicest accommodations we've stayed in in New Zealand over the past year, we stayed in the family room, beds were so comfy, kitchen had everything you needed, shower was nice, the communal facilities were amazing including free coffee and popcorn! Netflix on the TVs!

Very comfy, good-sized room with a view of the forest and mountains. Smooth check-in and helpful staff, including prompt laundry service. The fee cafés and restaurants in the village are a short walk away. Short drive to trails and sights.

A breakfast would have been nice. The TV channels were less than I expected.

Greeted by a warm muffin and showed around. The umbrella allowed me to stay dry as I walked to town. The facilities were all that was required and I was happy with what I paid for.

Comfortable beds, neat and modern room, temperature controlled (was very comfortable in the room all day/night), received muffins on arrival and coffee/hot chocolate and complimentary soup every night. This was the best stay of our 10 night trip at different motels, and very well priced.

The walls and floors are paper thin so you can clearly hear other guests' conversations, their movements and mobile notifications. The mattresses are not good quality. There is no hot water in the wash basins.

Only stairs up to the room, with multiple doors to go through. Kitchen was largely clean but the free soup and popcorn didn’t look very fresh. Doesn’t look like they toss out the free soup every night.

Good stay near Franz Josef. Close to supermarket and gas station but not many affordable eating options nearby. Room was comfortable.

Fantastic facilities, free bike hire, hot pool and barbecue. Shared kitchen was great with heaps of board games and computer to use. Though we didn’t get the chance to enjoy it all but was truly fascinated by the options provided. Room was squeaky clean and bed is firm which is really comfortable, well worth the price

The staff were very friendly, the lady even upgraded our room with no extra charge as the original room we had booked was out of order, the room was extremely comfortable, great value for money. I would definitely recommend this place.

It was unfortunate that renovations were occurring during our stay, but the contractors were polite and tried to not to get in the guests' way.

Because renovations were in progress the room we booked was not available, however the property arranged for alternative rooms for us, refunded the money for our booking and provided us with vouchers for local restaurants by way of compensation for the changes. The staff also carried our bags up the stairs for us - something you don't often experience! There was also free popcorn provided in the common dining area, which was a nice touch.

Location was amazing! You could do everything from here even the walks. Outstanding facilities, free bikes, spa, everything you need in the kitchen, amazing staff! We even got upgraded! Free soup, popcorn and barista coffee all day!

Fabulous place to stay, great winter value for money, the whole place was beautifully decorated, very modern and comfy. Stunning views, The hot chocolate, popcorn and veggie soup was an added bonus we all loved our stay!
