Lovely apartment with 2 separate bedrooms, nicely appointed, friendly staff. Very obliging with an extra hour before check in and after checkout to accommodate our arrival and departure times.

Only tiny thing was that the plunger coffee wasn’t replaced after day one, despite the room being serviced.

Everything was perfect

I arrived just before reception closed, got my key, and parking was $25 per night. The room/apartment was extremely clean and comfortable, with a cosy bed, a spotless bathroom, a washing machine and dryer (super handy after a long road trip), hair dryer plus everything needed to make coffee or tea, even food, although Uber Eats was perfect for me. The TV had Netflix and YouTube, which was a nice bonus. I had put some clothes in the dryer very early on the checkout day, and the cycle went a bit over time - about 15 minutes over the check out time. The manager came up to the room to help me after I called the reception (as the dryer wouldn’t open because of the heat lock - which is normal). He was very understanding and helpful. Also, Since my ferry to Picton was only in the evening, I asked if I could leave my car there after checkout. They initially said okay until 2pm (which was already very helpful) but later they messaged me confirming I could leave it until 8pm. That saved me a lot of hassle and let me enjoy my day in the city without worry. Great location, great service, I think the staff are really amazing – I’d definitely stay again.

I love how the area was quiet but also not too far from all the shops, easy access from motorway, very clean, had all the essentials needed for a two night stay including nice smelling body wash/ shampoo/conditioner.

Was difficult to find but you cannot change the location. When you know its a good location close to eveything. Perhaps a more detailed description of getting there is required especially when arriving by bus.

Room was set up well. Plenty of tea, coffee, sugar also good variety. Oven , microwave, and enough stuff to self. cater if you wanted. Product in bathroom with plenty of towels

Location for a solo woman traveller wasn't the greatest. I preferred to Uber back at night even if "just around the corner" rather than walk alone as either route was poorly lit and quiet with lots of semi empty carparks around. During the day, it was fine and I was happy to use the lift shortcut down to Lambton Quay. This was literally the only downside. Wouldn't stop me staying there again for a short stay

Clean, functional and comfortable. As a solo traveller the room size was absolutely fine but would likely be a tight squeeze for a couple. There was nowhere but the floor for my luggage with limited storage options, so if there's two people sharing, that's less floor space. Kitchen was well equipped and clean. TV was easy to connect up to my own Netflix and wifi worked well. Importantly, couldn't hear the neighbours at all, so once inside, it was quiet with no interruptions to my sleep. The bathroom was a bit dated, but clean - shower compartment was quite small though - and I'm average size. Pillows were great and bed very comfy, room temperature was perfect on arrival and I never had to adjust the thermostat during my stay.

The plumbing sound is a bit loud. If shut the bathroom door can solve the problem.

Another good stay at Gilmer Apartment. Central location. The room is well maintained and equipped. Will come back soon for another weekend recharge.
