Poor ventilation. The issue with buildings that you can’t open the window with is that you are dependent on the intake and unfortunately a way to save money is to bring less air from the outside into the building. The HVAC engineer would have programmed this into the system to save money for the owner.

A masterclass in how to do hotels. From friendly service at the front desk to the little details in the room, everything was so satisfying. Room was quiet, dark, multiple lighting options, well designed and the pour over coffee was a bonus.

There was a slight glitch with the app to the tv that didn’t work to get menu and prices but not a train smash!

The interior design was lovely, it was comfortable and all needs were catered for! We had breakfast included and it was delicious! Really enjoyed ourselves!

Not sure what to say here! Would be nice to have a real bar of soap rather than liquid soap in the shower :-)

Fantastic view from our room. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Very warm greeting from all staff throughout our stay. Breakfast was AMAZING - well worth getting included. Only a short walk to Commercisl Bay. We'll equipped gym. Decor appealing. We have already rebooked for another stay!

We weren’t keen on the coffee and tea facilities in the room which were loose leaf tea (although delicious) and ground coffee with a drip container. Bit of a messy faff when you just want a quick coffee or tea. I’d give breakfast a miss and go elsewhere.

The hotel was very clean and modern. We agree with other reviewers that the rooms are stylish but small and probably at the expense of practicality.

I loved the quirkiness and uniqueness of the hotel. My room was well set out and comfortable. Plenty of space. I loved the loose leaf tea.

Very 'cosy' rooms. Although clean and neat, the rooms seemed very dark and small. The hallways were also kept very dark throughout the day and night.

An exceptional breakfast, although the restaurant was a little poky for the number of diners in the morning. The concierge staff were amazing, offering advice and making suggestions on how to make the most of our 3 night visit to Auckland.

Nice new hotel in the cbd. Very comfortable and a fresh take on the little things that make a big difference. Things like the bedding, tea and coffee had really been thought about, and put most NZ hotels in the same price band to shame.

Staff were super welcoming and helpful. Bed was so comfy with beautiful crisp sheets. Room and bathroom are modern and exceptionally clean. I loved the beautiful tea and coffee options. Everything was bespoke and luxurious. GHD hairdryer! Incredible food at the restaurant. The lobby is gorgeous and full or art and books. The thank you chocolates were locally made and delicious. Location is super central, pay for valet parking to minimize stress. Honestly, could not fault this lovely hotel. Will be back for sure!

The staff were so kind, when we arrived we were greeted by Shawny and as we were chatting I mentioned that my partner had a back injury. She upgraded us to a room on a much higher floor with an incredible view, it was so unexpected and kind of her and extra special as it was me and my partners 6 year anniversary. The room was so nice with the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! We will 100% be back I'm the future

Breakfast offered a varied menu with the chance to order from the a la carte. Dinner was exceptional. Dined in every night because the food was SO good. Every time I asked anything at reception they always offered help
