Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomNothing to complain about , we had a great stay.
There was a generous selection of foods available for breakfast including, tea, coffee, juice, eggs, bread and cereal. The hosts also provided a small amount of firewood for the chimney which unfortunately we didn't get a chance to us but was a lovely touch.

Rupali and Puneet were wonderful Host, they came and greeted us after arrival to ensure that everything was OK and guided us about near by places. Also we had a chance to spend some great time with the Host and their Family to the near by stream. The location was stunning, very beautiful and quiet. The House was spotlessly clean with everything you needed for self catering. We would highly recommend staying here, one of our best stay in North New Zealand. We hope to come back again. Not to miss, Holly is an amazing Dog. Thank you very much Rupali and Puneet.

AustraliaHowever, the sofa bed was quite short and uncomfortable, making it less ideal for sleeping. While the cottage is perfect for two adults and children, it’s not the best setup for four adults. Additionally, the sofa bed sheets could have been cleaner, which was a bit disappointing.
We recently stayed at Kereru Cottage and had a mostly enjoyable experience. The location is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for a relaxing getaway.. The main bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped for preparing meals. That said, the outdoor area and natural surroundings were a highlight, with native birds. The hosts were friendly and provided helpful local recommendations, which made the stay more enjoyable. Overall, Kereru Cottage is a lovely place for a couple or a small family, but it would be even better with improvements to the sofa bed and its cleanliness.

New ZealandWe had the most delightful stay at this charming farmhouse, and it was truly a perfect getaway for our family. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The peaceful and scenic location provides a perfect backdrop for a relaxing break from city life. One of the highlights of our stay was the opportunity to interact with the lovely animals on the farm. Their dog, Holly was an absolute joy to be around—so friendly and playful, making our stay even more special. The hens were a hit too, with fresh eggs being collected every morning. The kids had an absolute blast feeding the sheep. It was such a joy to see them learn about farm life and connect with the animals. Our kids had a wonderful time playing with the hosts’ children, Meera and Arjun. They quickly became great friends, exploring the farm and enjoying each other’s company. It was such a special experience to see them bond in such a natural, outdoor setting. We also can't forget the yummy breakfasts! Every morning, we enjoyed fresh eggs straight from the farm. It was a great way to start the day before heading out to explore or relax at the farmhouse. The owners also have a beautiful cultivation garden, where they grow a variety of fresh produce. It was such a treat to see how much care and effort goes into growing their own food. We even got a chance to sample some of their fresh fruits—such a lovely touch that made our stay feel even more authentic! The farmhouse itself is cozy and well-equipped, offering all the comforts we need. The outdoor area is spacious, with seating areas perfect for evening chats. We were also impressed with the warm hospitality of the hosts—they made us feel like part of the family. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat, an interactive farm experience with kids (and pets!), or a relaxing evening with a barbecue, this place has it all. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a family-friendly escape! Thank you Puneet, Rupali, Meera and Arjun!

GermanyThe WiFi was patchy, but that gives you more time to enjoy the scenery and accommodation.
Everything - the views, the friendly hosts, the chickens and dog greeting you every day, the breakfast, listening to the birds, taking beautiful walks nearby :) It is a good base for trips to Tauranga, Mt Maunganui or Hobbiton.

New ZealandNothing, all was superb.
Very quaint and comfortable cottage, well appointed and very functional, super clean, nicely decorated, in a superbly quiet country side location. And yet not far to either beach (Mt Maunganui) or pristine native bush (the Kaimai Mamaku ranges). Very friendly and accommodating hosts and free range chickens roaming around.
