The summer humidity brought a lot of insects out in the evening… but we were looked after well and owners brought over some repellent to combat the bugs.

Beautiful landscape with breathtaking views. Awesome farm outlook with variety of animals close by to watch and we even got to say hello to the friendly pony. Facilities were great and fully stocked kitchen with all the appliances one needs to cook a meal.

The cottage was amazing, with beautifully handmade NZ hardwood furniture. We enjoyed every minute especially sitting on the front deck enjoying the sunshine, gazing at the amazing scenery. The next field had a pony, a calf (who thinks the pony is his Mum) and a ram called Rambo! The interaction of these three gave us hours of pleasure. If you want to feel relaxed in beautiful surrounding you must stay here

Everything was amazing. The thing that would be useful is to have an information leaflet about the property as we never saw the owners. Like if you put the dishwasher on before you leave, what do you do with rubbish bags, dirty towels. the wifi password (I had to rummage through draws to find it) etc. I’m sure the owners would have been happy for me to contact them but I didn’t want to bother them with lots of little things.

Beautiful scenery. Lovely location as it’s on the back of a wee farm type thing so remote and peaceful but Roxburgh only about 5 minutes drive. Clean, comfortable, tidy furnishings and loved the outdoor table. Also had a friendly horse in the paddock opposite and close to the cottage that would come over for a pat.

limited consumables provided on the kitchen (chopping board, glad wrap, dish wash liquid, cooking oil). Water was also an off colour, still fine to drink but would consider taking bottled water next trip.

Great spot with amazing views, outdoor dining area was great. The owners were super helpful when we'd forgotten a gas bottle for the BBQ, lending us one to use.

The sand flies - but they are everywhere, lol.

The cottage was fabulous, roomy, well equipped and maintained with a great deck for outdoor enjoyment. Lovely yard for playing with our great grandchildren as well. Location was perfect, quiet country stay and yet so close to town. Hosts were exceptional, anticipating our needs without us asking - actually going above and beyond! We enjoyed the visits from Fred and Bella as well - the farm's dogs.

Whilst the bedrooms were warm, the open plan kitchen/lounge only had a small heater and did not have any window coverings. I understand that a heat pump is to installed soon. It would be good to have some more hanging / storage space for luggage, towels, outdoor jackets.

New (or refurbished) cottage with nice kitchen and bathroom. Great rural outlook over the surrounding hills. Very comfortable bed. Vicki and Bruce were friendly and helpful.
