You do need to be reasonably agile to get up to the loft bed.

We enjoyed the location especially the trees and the birds.

Our hot water ran out on 1st evening so had cold showers the next morning. Slipped on the steep stony path down from the cabin to the kitchen once or twice. The info on website did prepare us by mentioning it. I do think some steps or a better formed path would be safer.

Adored the location...in amongst the trees and birdsong. Thank you for making us feel so welcome! Loved the cosy cabin, it was perfect for a brief stay. The shared kitchen was fantastic and loved meeting the other guests. Great vibes all around.

My partener found acessing the loft bed space an issue. (This was not something I shared. Perhaps wider treads on the ladders and slightly narrower rung spacing). Personally I loved the loft bed and had the best night's sleep for years.

Our cabin was an exquisitely built space within a magical piece of forest. The other facilities were also excellent - full kitchen with washing machine. My partner and I would both 100% stay again and would recommend it.

The hut gets a bit humid during cloudy weather.

If you are a nature lover, this place is definitely for you. Enjoyed birds and cicadas singing and the beauty of New Zealand's forest. The host is very helpful and friendly, his recommendations what to see around Nelson were helpful.

The fridge did not keep my food very cold. However there was a large fridge in the kitchen i was more than welcome to use, I just chose not to, so that was on me really. I think there may have been rats or mice in my roof as I could hear scratching all night.

I was met with smiles and a tour around to familiarise myself with everything. Had everything I needed. I was so comfortable and warm.

The driveway is a challenge if you aren't extremely fit and a skilled driver. Knowing the cellphone coverage and WiFi limitations before booking would be handy to know, however I understand being disconnected is part of what makes it so peaceful.

Peaceful and away from any distractions that get in the way of connecting with nature. Very clean, with a good shower and comfortable loft bed.
