A safety lock on the bathroom window would enable better ventilation at night.

The hosts first & foremost Miria & Taroi are so accommodating & friendly they made our stay so special, from drinks on the deck, homemade preserves use of their push bikes the location is superb close to beach & other amenities. The cottage is cosy & welcoming & has everything you need.

It was perfect. Just what we wanted.

Breakfast was amazing. Miriam made us stewed rhubarb out of her garden. Location was the best. 2 minute walk to the beach. Fabulous

Our hosts Miria and Taroi were exceptional hosts. On the first evening of our 2 night stay they invited us for a drink and nibbles and 3 hours later we were back in our accomodation, they are to be commended as hosts

Could not fault Moanarua Beach Cottage and would definitely recommend the accommodation to anyone.

Moanarua Beach Cottage is a little gem located in a quiet residential area but within a 3 minute walk to the fantastic Ohope beach. Miria and Taroi went out of their way to make our stay as memorable as possible and their welcome drink upon arrival really was a nice gesture. The breakfast provided by Miria, including home made preserves really was more than we had expected and just perfect to start the day!

Fantastic hosts - so warm, welcoming and friendly. Treated like family. Had us to their place for nibbles and wine. Very hospitable. Excellent breakfast. Really appreciated their love and advocacy for Te Ao Maori and Te reo Maori.

Miria and Taroi are outstanding hosts in every respect. Their cottage is lovely and perfectly equipped. The breakfast with homemade jams and chutneys as well as the welcome-nibbles were very yummy. Apart from that, they are happy to share their knowledge about Māori culture and te reo Māori, what we enjoyed a lot.
