Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Can't think of anything.
We were truly impressed with the Moon Gate Villa! It is an amazing place with nice gardens, outstanding and well-designed rooms, excellent facilities and simply amazing hosts. The place was super clean and impeccable. Breakfast: was stunning (fresh fruits, bakery, eggs prepared to ones wishes....) - fantastic.

The welcoming was friendly and special. Lionel welcomed us with a lovely sign and welcome drinks. The facilities are incredible. You don’t need anything at all because it’s all supplied. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights. The pool is lovely. The bed is extremely comfortable. We loved the little treats that we got every day when we came back from our time out exploring. The breakfast is amazing as well. A very special place and great for time out and to relax. Thank you Lionel and Rob for being amazing hosts. We loved our stay!!! And would highly highly recommend.

Nothing...but next stay we'll try their full breakfast served in the main house.
The cottage we stayed in was wonderful. Lionel and Rob friendly, gracious, and professional hosts. A really great experience and we were very impressed by the overall quality of their hospitality. Sad we couldn't stay longer. The bed in our cottage was very comfortable.

Run by really friendly hosts who had thought of everything to make the stay comfortable and were very helpful and accomodating. They introduced me to some of the other guests too and we really enjoyed chatting over a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended!

Every thing was topnotch: A big room with a confy bed, the huge garden and last but not least a marvelous breakfast. The hosts were very kind and helpful, providing a list of restaurants, maps with informations about the surrounding and personal support about the airtraffic. There is really nothing to mention, what didn't work.

The accommodation is of a high-standard and level. They provided a great breakfast and additional food on our request. The cottage where we stayed was very suitable for our dog. The hosts are helpful and forthcoming, always giving a right advice.

We stayed in the exquisite Cupid’s Bow room for New Year and we extended by a day too. Lionel’s breakfasts are fantastic and all chats with Rob were delightful. This is hospitality at it’s best. Highly recommended. Ngā mihi

Principal attraction for us was a heated pool which was not working. Heated towel rail & heat pump had intermittent on/off periods explained as being on a timer or we had set the heating incorrectly although we have this exact same model at home. 2 successive TV remote handsets offered had exhausted batteries , - supply new batteries! No opening window or extract fan in en suite facility.
Breakfast & breakfast host both exceptional
